There were four of us, and we ate the big menu up and down once. It was just delicious from the first fork to the last fork. The portions were perfect. We'll definitely be back. The service was also very attentive and friendly.

Sunday lunch Tai week / super delicious

Once again, we were drawn to the men's café. On occasion, as this time, we took part in a multi-course meal. Never before have we been disappointed and this time at the Candel Light Dinner we were again in a positive surprise. We were even allowed to take our main place. The choice of the recommended wines was very suitable. We are now looking forward to the next visit.

I 'd like to go back

The atmosphere of this old place definitely is charming. Rooms are functional and have the things you need. Pricing of the minibar is too high, as most of them are. 
Rooms are not soundproof, you should pack ear plugs. I woke up a few times every night (ie because of footsteps or other things within the house) which is probably owed to the historic building.

Staff does not seem very motivated, service at the breakfast is just bad. (If there is any service at all). The breakfast is not the worst I ever had in a hotel but it’s getting very close. The variety is 2/10, quality though is fine in general, except the breakfast egg was poor quality... cheapest possible production that is allowed in Germany. 

Sadly I cannot recommend this place considering all the aspects. 

Definitely wouldn’t book the breakfast, since I’ve seen only a few so far that we’re worse.

The beautiful old house is right on the market square. If the reception is closed, you have to pick up the keys from a box behind the house. The code is obtained by e-mail. The rooms are simple but functional set up. In room one there is no safe, in room three it was not opened. The rooms are very bright and outward through the market lighting is also very bright. The curtains are not enough to darken the room somewhat. I found it bad to find a used underwear that runs as a bathroom heater. My complaint was taken with the receptionist with indifference, but an apology for backwardness. Four spaces are also very bright. The curtains are not enough to darken the room somewhat. Nice old house on the market, but nothing more.

Family party with 6 people. A la carte ordered, two meals were confused and one did not meet the description (it was not then calculated) snack was only served on request, while presenting a noodle landed on a guest's pants, which remained uncommented (that the service must have simply seen) The service performance on the day was not fair to the claim (and a € 230 bill), but in the house is the exception.

The hotel is located right on the central market square in Markgröningen. It is a small hotel with about 10 rooms, very personal and friendly. My room was cozy, with a lot of dark, old wood. Bathroom and rooms clean and quite large. The hotel has very few parking spaces, but only a few meters away is a small public parking space that is free overnight. There was and was free WiFi, but unfortunately it did not work reliably. The breakfast was decent in size and quality.

Comfortable little hotel

The location of the hotel is great, right on the main square of the town. The first night I found parking within 150m walking distance, but second night all parkings in the area were out and I had to park further away. The restaurant food is really brilliant quality. The breakfast was good quality but very limited selection. I had a room in the back with no windows facing outside, so it became sauna hot inside the room, even though it was raining and cool outside it was almost unbearable hot in the room. The wifi is ok, but has quite spotty reception. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again if I can have a cooler room.

Nice little hotel

I was on a business trip and stayed for one night. I really liked the style of the hotel. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. The breakfast left no wishes open. I really enjoyed being able to leave the window open at night and fall asleep to the quiet plaster of the well. What unit-class hotel, right on the main street, can offer this?!

Very nice hotel

What new tenants can do from a great hotel. I traveled around noon on Monday. There was a very unfriendly lady who greeted me. When asked if we could use a room for a meeting, she said we should sit down in the hallway. Unfortunately, she didn't offer us a breakfast room. Room number one hadn't been wiped under the desk for several days. There must always be some dirty dust there. Even the departure was marked by unfriendliness. Please note that you haven't read this on our web pages.

What Happened to the Men's Coffee Shop

Stayed in this lovely place for a few nights. Ideally located in the old part of Markgroeningen. Have enjoyed beautiful walks in the evening through town centre. The food in their restaurant was exquisite. Service was excellent. Staff super friendly.  Would highly recommend.
