We stayed here for 1 night. The staff are very friendly and professional. Our room in annex building D was clean, well-equipped, very spacious with massive wood furniture  and comfortable beds. Bathroom was spotless clean, new, with a lot of different toiletries. Breakfast: self service with good choice of fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, pots of marmalade, butter, cold meats, chees, juices, tea and coffee.The only downside to the hotel was its close proximity to the trainline, which can disturb a sleep a little but nothing to complain about really.

A good value budget stay along the Romantic Road

We booked this hotel because it was along the route of our journey, had free parking and looked like it was in a small town so easy to find. Well it wasn't easy to find and we had to ask several people before we found a route which crossed the railway lines. It is the opposite side of the tracks to the small town but very close as we eventually found out to slip roads on to motorways.

The hotel is on a trading estate alongside the rail station. It is a very quiet area but - and it is a big but - the very long freight trains run all night and I was frequently awoken by the never ending noise. This is not the fault of the hotel. I am a light sleeper and the overwhelming heat meant we had to have windows open. Bear this in mind when booking as it may not be a problem for others.

Our room was excellant - very large, airy and bright. A sofa (sofabed I think) and chair made it more comfortable in the evening watching the large TV and the bathroom was a very good size with all essential toiletries. Breakfast which was included in our booking was a large spread of the usual buffet fare but most of the meats etc were organic. The morning receptionist was extremely helpful and spoke better english than I did. She helped us get on to the internet when we had problems trying to book ahead.

As the restaurant next to the hotel ids closed most of the week and there was nowhere to eat in Mertingen we took a trip into Donauworth a short drive away ( we took a bit longer because we got lost!) Plenty of options here but make sure you familiarise yourself with the route and particulatly which exits to use on the motorway.

If this hotel could be moved closer to amenities we would give it a 5 star rating but then I suppose the price would go up. As just an overnight stop we would book again but I would take ear plugs : )

Good hotel but you might need ear plugs

I stayed here for one night. The hotel is situated nearby a motorway and industry. If you close your windows, the noise level is very limited so no problem at all. The room I stayed in was very big and comfortable. Although the bed seemed hard, I slept great on it. The staff was very kind and helpful, and as I arrived late, the key was in a special box to be opened with a password, previously sent with an email. Excellent.

Large comfortable rooms, low prices

Wonderful new hotel with spacious rooms, clean and neat. Beautifully furnished with solid wood cabinets, beds, tables, ... and excellent mattresses. Pretty bathroom, nice layout, plenty power sockets, fast WLAN and a delicious and varied breakfast BUT: not a good place if you are a light sleeper. During the night in regular intervals I woke up due to massive freight trains racing through the nearby train station.

poor service unfriendly ,breakfast buffet was a joke and the answer sorry we had very few breakfast guest even more of a joke then offer plated cheese and meat instead of buffet with nothing on it ..
 very poor internet conection.bed very hard  2nd and last stay ..
