We ate at the restaurant. The reception was warm. But it was one of the only positive points aside from the large parking lot available. We were 3 people and we waited long enough to bring the drinks. Then for the meal (a dinner on a Saturday night). There was a certain dish missing from the card. We waited over an hour to be served when there were very few people. The fish wasn't even cooked. I called the waiter, he didn't even come. Then I brought my own plate back to ask for the fish to be cooked properly. So when the fish had finished, I just wanted to serve my plate. The fish was cooked after the rest of the evening was cold enough. Finally, then, I didn't have to pay to accompany the meal, but I never had to pay for the rest of the meal, and I even recommended that the rest of the people come back to the kitchen and eat the salmon.

Going your way

We were in the hunting lodge at noon on Mother's Day. The food is absolutely overpriced. The fish on the map was already sold out by noon (???) so I had to choose again. I got 3 small pieces of fish on a clear amount of lenses, 3 slices of carrots and 3 mini broccoli. No one can get enough of it and that for a proud 18.50 euro. On the pre-packages the food was very good and the portion was reasonable. Here it's just cashed out. Shame, because the ambiance of the place is very nice and cozy.

Absolutely overpriced

The boss and the staff were very friendly - very good service!! Very good kitchen - nevertheless waiting time for the meal is not too long ;-) enough parking space right at the house.

Very friendly - very good cuisine!

What can I say! It's just wonderful... very nice terrace, very cozy restaurant and sublime cuisine... really congratulations to the chef... I'll definitely get back to tasting the delicacies this place offers 😘

Sublime cuisine😍 Not so good everywhere

Nice atmosphere, attentive uncomplicated service and very good food. From greetings from the kitchen to calf breeze and ox tail to dessert, we enjoyed our food very much. We'll be back:)

Honest, genuine and good cuisine

New tenants The price card was raised, unfortunately, the courts ordered were unable to convince us, a more expensive meal, which can only get better, and above all, the prices had to be adjusted.

May will make everything new?

Very friendly staff, both in the evening restaurant business and at breakfast. Rooms clean and tidy. Very good kitchen. Perfect overall price-performance ratio. The street leading directly past the house does not disturb the stay at all.

Very pleasant atmosphere

We got good recommendations from our host on this restaurant.  
So we had a mixed experience which i think is unusual.

the salad was a great mix of greens and had a light vinegrette that enhanced not hide the veg.  It was delicious.

The pumpkin soup was a bit odd but we liked it more the more we ate it.  We later found out the odd flavor was ginger.  

The schnitzel was top of the line.  My wife said this is what i'd been expecting all week. We'd been in the black forest all week and the schnitzel there is not as good as what we've had in bavaria.

The pork filet with cream pepper sauce was the disappointment that brings down the score.  I don't think there was anything wrong with it, we just didn't like it.  The spatzle that came with it was great.

The service was excellent.  The woman was a jaugernaut working her butt off but we never felt rushed or neglected.

mixed bag

To be fair, we arrived at 12 midnight and are grateful that they allowed us in. It was obvious that we woke the owner up,  The next morning we felt rushed from the get go.  The breakfast was pretty minimal and the hostess, although friendly enough was clearly waiting for us to leave to go home.  How do we know that? well, because at around 9am she knocked on our door to tell us that.  Yep...the whole short time we were there we felt like we were clearly inconveniencing them.  I will say, it's a beautiful property and the accommodations were adequate.  Note the hairdryer in the bathroom is from the 50's.  lol  unless you have your own, you're leaving with wet hair.  Just sayin'.  This Hotel is more like a B&B.  I'm not actually certain of what it's purpose is....it can obviously accommodate a lot of people, but there were very few people there...and the way they run it, I don't think i'd host an event there that's for sure.  Overall I felt like this is a legacy business for the family and they just aren't into it anymore.
