Lovley place to stay or just eat. Very helpful staff too
As a group of 12 thirsty and hungry bikers we were greated with warm welcome and a smile by the lady who looked after us for the night, even after we were getting a little noisy! This is a fabulous place to stay if you are visiting the Black Forest. The restuaunt has a typical German menu, to which the food was very good and the beer is good also. Plenty of parking off street for the bikes and a good breakfast to boot. With great comfy rooms what more can you want?

Cannot recommend this little jewel of the Black Forest's crown highly enough. Spotlessly clean, excellent food and great hosts in Heidi and Reiner. Stayed during the villages annual Weinfest and even though the staff were rushed off their feet, the service was nothing less than impeccable. Would suit families, couples or solo guests alike; really looking forward to my next stay. Five stars all round! 

Wonderful place, Wonderful people!

A jewel in the Black Forest, in the centre of a beautiful wine village, the Krone(Crown) first impressions count, spotlessly clean dining room, the accommodation is arranged on the first and second floors, comfortable and clean. There are two wineries who offer generous wine tasting hours. Once you drink the wine from this area, you will be hooked. Travel in any direction and discover the 'real Black Forest'. The Krone present a generous breakfast and delicious evening meals. Heidi the landlady is lovely and helpful.

What to review: we stayed in the hotel and had dinner in the restaurant.
The restaurant is of high quality. The food is all fresh and well cooked, service friendly and prices are moderate for the offered quality. The menu is small, but probably given the fresh cooking a good choice.
The hotel room is okay-ish. Keys are found in a locker with a passcode outside (effective and efficient), one can park the car behind the building. The rooms are renovated, but in its execution is could have been better. It is not my taste with decoration and could have been cleaner. We found a hair under the pillow that wasn’t ours. Breakfast is good, all served in Weck glasses; even the orange juice.
I might return for the food, not for the hotel room itself.
Weighing everything, my overall rating 3 out of 5.


Excellent restaurant, hotel is decent, not my tast in decoration and could be cleaner

Spacious hotel room but a little bit old and dated. There was no airco and the temperature in the room therefor was very high.Could not use the curtains because there weren't any. The velux did not work. One of the windblowers  was broken. All in all too little value for money. However staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous.
