A warm welcome awaits visitors to the Café Knebel-Hotel, which has comfortable and clean accommodation. 
The breakfast bar is generously stocked and the coffee is excellent.
The church bells strike regularly but are comforting - and indeed traditional. Look out for the stork nests on top of the highest roofs.

A lovely sleepy town on the Danube

We're both staying here at the hotel and we've been to the coffee. The cakes are delicious, the ice cream is okay. The price is right, both in the rooms and in the dining room.

Price performance is correct

The hotel has nice rooms and the owner is quite friendly. The ideal place for a quiet overnight after a long bike ride along the Danube. The price-performance ratio is ok. Good and central location.

Once again, a short visit to Munderkingen was a successful experience thanks to a great stay at Cafe Knebel. I was staying in the chocolate room this time. As always, I was greeted kindly, although I was not able to check in until about 7:00 p.m. because of a train delay, but the reception is only occupied until 6:00 p.m. A short call was enough, and the friendly couple was waiting for me. The next morning I enjoyed the rich breakfast, which also this time was openly without any wishes. Especially the delicious loaves I ate with my own marmalade.

The genius of ice cream

I found the following positive: - central location - outwardly beautifully crafted - good mattresses - negative: - loud at night through church bells and noisy pedestrians - at one window there was a white interior roller, but at the other one there was no one, and on this one you could not even prefer a curtain, so that it was quite bright in the room - the bathroom is in dire need of renovation and has no windows or retractors - the furniture is outdated and odd. - Requests are received from the owners, but quite unwilling and you have to insist. - The W does not work in the room and you have to go around the corridor properly. - The breakfast buffet: discounted tea, cheeses, cornbread, and eggs were also not suitable for children.

The hotel, which has grown over the years, has an unfavourable price-performance ratio.

Situated both in the central square and on the Danube Cycle Route. Plenty of good quality overnight, covered space for our bicycles.

Room was clean but a little dated. Large radiator in the room for drying off any wet clothes. It snows here in April.

Wifi worked well and we found the team running the hotel to be very helpful and friendly. English is spoken.

Convenient Location

It is very central in Munderkingen: a few metres away you can graze with taste in the pedestrian area of the city. The structure, managed with sympathy, is a bit old fashioned and would need a refreshment. Large room overlooking the courtyard.

It was a big, newly renovated double room all in blue, with a penguin theme (photos as decorated) very original and beautiful. The furniture is not all new, but it fits well together. Clean new bathroom with shower and toilet, plenty of frotted doughnuts. Flat screen, table, suitcase and chair. Only the lighting was very dark, unsuitable for reading.
