Design-Hotel JAMS 

I and my wife had a three-night stay at JAMS in the beginning of November, and we had an absolutely lovely time. This charming hotel honestly has it all for a unique and budget stay in Munich. Let's talk about the location first. Not only is it a few minutes' walk from an S-Bahn connection to the airport, city centre and central station, but there's a tram stop literally around the corner from the front door. Apart from the connectivity, the area around the hotel is also well worth exploring, with a vibrant cultural scene. The hotel itself is delightful. The music theming is consistent throughout the space, without ever becoming over the top and kitschy, with well-chosen, pleasant colours and custom art. The room, likewise, was lovely. While not overly large, it was more sizable than expected, and used the space well. The bed was large and comfortable, and with a padded stool, large desk, and even cushioned window seat, overlooking the city. We also appreciated the vinyl player in the room. With a library of music in the lobby (with music ranging from classic rock, pop, and jazz through to classical and more besides), we could casually bring vinyls up to the room to listen to at the end of a long day wandering the city. The breakfast, also, was very good. It's got a small selection of mostly local spreads, along with good bread and a nice selection of drinks, and the staff was very helpful, offering to make scrambled eggs or omelets if asked. The staff in general was delightful. Helpful, personable and welcoming, and always ready to help out whenever we needed anything. All in all, and with a very good price point, JAMS is definitely a place we'll return to when our travels take us back to Munich.
