We stayed here one night, on our way back home from Austria. What a surprise; the location, high up the mountain just west of the Inntal highway, gives fantastic views on Inntal & Wilder Kaiser. The Lechner family welcomes you with a smile. Rooms are above average: we had two recently renovated Comfort Zimmer (large balcony with Inntal view). Bathroom is fine, large twin bed (220x160). 

The breakfast is fantastic and we even got a few sandwiches (freshly prepared by the owner) to eat for lunch during our trip back home. 

We had dinner in the hotel-restaurant; typical Bavarian style, extremely friendly staff, everything well-cooked and excellent value for money. 

Although we spent only one night, the area itself deserves more time: close to skiing slopes ( Oberaudorf has a nice small skiing area for families but larger Austrian skiing areas are nearby), in summer time nice hikes and bike trails are nearby. 

Overall: great value for money. definitely a place to return; as a stopover to/from Austria or Italy but also for a nice short mountain holiday. 

Typical cosy Bavarian hotel, fantastic location

This gasthof is very nicely situated halfway up a mountain (steep road!) just before entering Austria from Germany. We stayed here with our 2 kids after travelling from NL. The dinner was very German style with semi-interested staff dressed in dirndels. I guess being passers-through they didn't give us much intrest. When asked if I could do the payment the owner decided to first finish her friday night cardgame, making me wait 15 minutes. But the view is great...

Overnight stay on our way to alps

We had dinner at this hotel/restaurant while driving through Germany.  The views are breathtaking.  The food was excellent.  Fresh fish, pork, dumplings, salad. Desert etc at very reasonable prices.  True homecooked meals.  Sitting outside and enjoying the view.  A must see!

Incredible views with excellent food.

This hotel is in a perfect location with incredible views from most rooms and the bar / restaurant towards the Kaiser mountains across the Inn Valley.  We stayed in the suite for one night and in a large double for an additional night. The site is vast, easily suitable for 4. There's a huge balcony with incredible views.  The smaller double sidi had a balcony with similar view but naturally a smaller room. 

The restaurant is excellent.  All the food was clearly made fresh and was of very high quality.  This is a Bavarian guesthouse so it's Bavarian food, which was exactly what we were looking for. 
The hosts are friendly with great English and the staff attentive.  Couldn't recommend more.

Fantastic location, great food 

This a quaint little hotel in the SE part of Germany, surrounded by mountains. The rooms are small but very romantic, lots of wood. The views are fantastic our balcony had a view of the valley and the surrounding mountains, beautiful. The staff is very helpful and courteous, the food is excellent and the breakfast in the Winter Garden very good. And for the price this is a fantastic place. It is very peaceful. We loved it.
