Quick one night stop which we chose for its proximity to the airport.  Quiet location - even the Uber driver had trouble locating it.  Easy access out of the city, clean room and the most fantastic traditional Bavarian breakfast! So much choice.

Come for the night, stay for the breakfast!

What we liked:
Polite and courteous checkin reception staff
Very clean rooms and communal areas
Plenty of storage
Only a 15 minute drive to the airport, yet no noise of aircraft heard inside the hotel
Adjacent restaurant that can be accessed within the hotel reception area

What we didn't like:
The bathroom was rather small and the bathroom door stuck on the floor which made entering and exiting a challenge
There wasn't air conditioning, but a pedestal fan had been placed in the room.
The breakfast options were rather limited and we had concerns around the refrigeration of some of the chilled products like yogurts etc.

Convenient for a hotel stay near to Munich airport

My daughter's flight was abruptly cancelled at around the time of boarding from Munich airport. The airline (OMAR Air) was completely useless as they asked everyone to find their own hotel rooms. All the hotels near Munich airport were full. We tried many hotels and finally found Isar hotel and spoke to Mrs. Reiger over the phone. She was kind enough to wait at the hotel door for my daughter to arrive and provide her a room. Thank you so much Mrs. Reiger! Room was great and breakfast was really good.

This hotel is in a very good location. The rooms are priced just right for the area ! The breakfast buffet has something for every taste,to include fresh orange juice that you can prepair yourself ! ( the only negative was the receptionist.....maybe she had a bad day ? )

Overnight for a weekend seminar

We stayed here for one night following a short holiday in Salzburg; it was perfectly located for a quick drive to Munich airport in the morning.  The hotel is a 10-minute walk to the old town and has a small, free car park.  Bizarrely there is an Asian restaurant on site but no local food is served, other than breakfast. The rooms are a decent size and reasonably well equipped, if a bit dated, somewhat similar to some older Premier Inns in the UK.  It is fine for a night or two.

The Isar Hotel is close to the MUC airport and for the money it's a steal!
A traditional family run hotel with typical rooms and bath............nothing fancy.
the Isar is located not just close to the airport but also on the Isar Radweg.....bike route.  The hotel let us keep our bike cases there while we were cycling for 10 days.   The breakfast is good.   Most importantly, the owner Mrs Reiger and her staff are so friendly, speak excellent English and are most helpful.   The Isar is within easy walking distance to the old town of Freising.

A great hotel and ideal if cycling

We started our driving holiday in Germany (first time in Germany) by noticing this hotel after driving from the airport, stopped and asked if they had a room (about 6-7pm at night), which they did. We had dinner at the hotel as we had no idea what was nearby. It was an Asian style restaurant which we found to be a little odd. Nonetheless, my partner who isn't too keen on rice and noodles, found something on the menu and I of course enjoyed my pad thai. The family sized room we were in was older style, but clean and spacious. Overall we enjoyed our brief stay.

First hotel introduction to Germany

We chose this hotel because we had an early flight out the next morning. It's only about 10 minutes to the airport. The room was very basic but clean. Parking is free. It was raining and we didn't want to drive any more; the woman at the front desk recommended an Italian restaurant (Il Gatto) for dinner--just a 5 minute walk and good food. Breakfast is not included, but we left before it was available anyway.

Close to Munich airport

Lovely hotel, about 8km from Munich Airport and about 27km from Munich.  Staff helpful and friendly.  Rooms are a nice size. For breakfast there was a  good selection. You would need a car to get about from here.

So we were in Germany for just one night as we flew out of Munich after our Europe tour and had only a few encounters, This hotel being our first encounter was a horrible experience. The front desk staff that checked us in was very unfriendly. We actually did not know she could smile until we saw her dealing with another customer....get it??!! Wi-fi isn't included, it is at an additional Euro 2 bucks per night. Rooms are basic. The guy that gave my wife coffee before we left was actually nice which is the only reason I gave this anything but one star.  We left before breakfast so can't speak to that. Yeah,,so much for Welcome to Germany!
