The hotel has a good location just outside the city walls. There are good parking facilities and the city's historic tram line has a stop just 100 meters from the hotel.

Nice breakfast restaurant with a good selection.

We arrived at the hotel at 3pm and found the front door locked. The front desk was not staffed and a note in German only informed to use a dedicated telephone to contact the reception at the neighboring hotel. Via the phone we got a code to a keybox. This is not the way to receive guests, and if you do not speak German it's almost impossible to check in.

The internet did not work very well and we got wrong informations regarding login code from the front desk at the neighboring hotel 

We had booked 3 rooms which all were neat and clean. One of the rooms was a larger corner room with a nice corner sofa.

In one of the rooms the dispensers for soap and shampoo were empty. We left a note for the staff but nobody came to the room. The bed was not done when we returned in the evening.

During our stay we met only a few staff  and they did not seem particularly interested in their guests.

Good location but very poor service

The Hotel Stadt Naumburg has a rather 1960 Miami feel to it in the public areas--spotless, but dated.  The rooms, with rather worn carpet, were also very clean. If you arrive after the reception desk closes, you will need to press the buzzer and retrieve your key from the Key Boy. We had initial problems with the wi-fi, but a call to a friendly English-speaking responder helped resolve it. In a quiet neighborhood off the ring road and away from the city center, the building does not appear to be air conditioned, although that was not a problem when we stayed.  There are five steep steps to the front door, although there may have been an accessible entrance elsewhere--did not ask. Seemed to be tour groups staying.  All in all, good basic hotel.

Clean and basic accomodation

We stayed for Lunch in this "4" Star place. Our group had been announced in advance and so had all wishes for the menu. We waited for 1 1/2 hours (90 minutes!) for our Pasta meal and finally did not get what we had ordered. The excuse of the very young and very unprofessional waitress was that the Restaurant was completely full..... The Hotel Manager finally told us a silly story about a computer which made troubles so that the kitchen did not get the orders.............  As we had to wait so long we missed some of the sights of this city.

Service and food

We spent two nights at the Stadt Naumburg, a hotel close to the city centre, yet located in a quiet street and parking space just outside the hotel or on the large parking area a few metres away. The room we stayed in had a high ceiling, a lot of space and new furniture. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is modern and very clean. Included in the room was a seating area with a large sofa and of course a Flat screen TV. Not the slightest sound was heard from the neighbouring rooms and we slept very well. The hotel serves lunch and dinner and the service personnel is very polite and professional. We paid a special rate (99Euro each for two nights, one dinner and a ticket for the exhibition) as we stayed during the art exhibition. So we really got good value for money.

Very comfortable

This is a relatively new hotel (7 years old) with loads of parking space in the area (so don't go into the hotel parking). One negative point: no airco, which is a bit troublesome when the outside temperature is above 30°C.

This hotel has only a sauna (and a massage service), so no swimming pool.

My opinion: 20% too expensive.
