Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz

On our nine-day bike tour to Vienna we were able to experience a variety of nights- in Newmarket we experienced one of the worst. We had booked a double room with breakfast for 95,- €. We were accommodated in a rooftop room with a bath, where you had to leave the door open to turn around or dry up! As a slim person I also wondered how a fat person could use the toilet... The breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly, we would have liked to pay for a room, which at least corresponds to the official picture. But in this hotel we will never again! In Passau or Bathbach - we have the same price - we would have gotten much better in the local price-category.

Inadequate price/performance ratio

As in previous years, we stopped on our vacation trip here in Neumarkt. The hotel gives a very clean impression. This also applies to the guest rooms. The service at check-in is good and informative, generally there is a friendly and friendly atmosphere towards the guests. The breakfast bed is good and rich. Only the parking on the home parking lot was no longer available due to construction work there and it had to be moved to a nearby parking lot with a charge.

Stop on the way

The hotel is located in the very centre of the old town and may be a little old, but it is also convincing. The reception is very friendly and welcoming, the wishes I had made when booking through one of the common booking portals were taken into account (quiet room with large bed). The hotel offers an excellent breakfast, which apart from many homemade fruit slices also stands out from the average with numerous homemade quark and fresh cake specialties.

Good choice in new markets

We stayed at this hotel for one night very clean rooms and comfortable bed slept by God excellent breakfast I highly recommend 😜 and free Wi-Fi that is not from everyone good compliments for order cleaning and decorations

It's perfect.

We felt good. The welcome from the hosts was warm and conveyed the positive feeling of being warmly welcomed as guests. The room was quiet and satisfying. The morning buffet breakfast and the associated service more than met our expectations.

A good choice - price performance is right

I found this hotel on the Internet and booked it. It was our first visit to Newmarket and the choice of this hotel was a fluke. Excellent location (we didn't have a car), nice rooms and a fantastic fruity buffet. But the helpfulness and kindness of the hosts outweighed everything.

That's great.

Far to expensive for what is offered. We stayed in the room in the attack. In the summer this room gets far to hot and there is no airco. The matrasses and pillows are the cheapest money can buy, the bathroom is in a closet and the tv has snow on most of the channels. The room was clean and breakfast is oké but what a hotel really needs to offer - a good night sleep in a comfortabele room - is not to be found in this hotel. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel. It just hasn't got a good standard.

It's all about everything.

It was surely worst experience of any hotels in the area (and I've been to few already).
The room was extremely small (about 11x7ft - 3,20x2,20m) and had no basic amenities.
There was little over 3 feet around the bed and that's it.
Instead of a wardrobe, there were two hooks in the wall and couple of hangers on them.
The floor is made of some wood so it bends and creaks when anyone moves around or passes by plus the walls are paper thin, so all these together makes you can hear everything, and I mean really EVERYTHING, your neighbor does.
The room looks like a students dormitory, including style, furniture? (hard to call cheap shelves a furniture), etc.
In the parking lot, if you come a bit later, there is a high chance there will be no space, so you will need to park in the street.
WiFi did not work too well, and reception was fairly poor, ok for slow page browsing, but not much more.
The positive aspect is probably breakfast, which seems to have higher variety of products then elsewhere, but that's not really enough to make up the terrible room impression.
I am very surprised with the number of positive reviews, I would prefer to drive far, to avoid this place.

Avoid, avoid, avoid, unless you prefer the hostel style rooms. Terrible experience.

A most charming and comfortable place to stay.  Outstanding breakfast provided as well.  Perfect location for the business I had recording at the Reitstadel.  Service was very good and the room very clean.
