Arrival: Friendly greeting from Mr. Breitkreuz. Brief important explanations and Wi-Fi keys. 5 days in the Uphouse and Conclusion; Top! (except for breakfast). Room 4: Very tasty, modern renovated. Super bathroom, huge TV. Pleasant bed. Not large the room, but enough. Obviously, in such a small hotel the reception is not always occupied - which some comments report negatively. Then you have to go to a large hotel without the snug atmosphere in the beautiful courtyard and central location and free of charge - like here. However: The breakfast in the nearby cafe restaurant (also not at the hotel) is a tip: a steady, steady breakfast in a small restaurant in the backyard of the hotel.

Very nice stay.

After remodeling, upgraded again, the beds are still great, the bathroom is now great even for the slightly more energetic of us, very large shower and comfortable it's still great.

Super relaxing.

Staying overnight in this old and carefully reconstructed workhouse was a pleasure. Nor was there a lack of the modern-day standard convenience of a shower and indoor toilet. The fact that the WiFi is not available in every corner can certainly hurt. In any case, it is worth mentioning the friendly service in the morning with a rich and balanced breakfast as well as the possibility to eat well in the restaurant otherwise.

Nostalgic sleep

We stayed in the upper house for the second time, and we were thrilled again. The rooms may have gotten a little old, but the rooms are very clean and the facilities have been well maintained. This time we had a suite and a beautiful view of the lake. The breakfast selection at the buffet is absolutely sufficient and the homemade marmalades taste very good. And the ambiance at the restaurant is also a highlight. The only thing I would like to bring back as a suggestion for improvement - a drop in the shower would be nice.

It's a great stay.

Beatiful setting in old part of town, near a lake. Maybe not for a noisy family or if you are looking for a place to crash between parties. Tranquillity, nice details like flowers on the window sills, quiet surroundings and even an old chapel adjacent to (in!) the lobby. OK breakfast in a 17-century half-timbered house (ask if you want eggs) in the cobble-stone yard, where you also park your car. 
Surroundings very quiet, the room was very clean, nice and friendly staff. 
If you use GPS you will arrive in a closed street. The hotel, quite anonymous, is reached from the same side as the big church, away from the lake. Turn left into a yard. If you arrive after the reception is closed, you can get help in the restaurant in the timber-framed building there. There is a sign, but it is not so visible in the dark.

Tranquil

The rating points in this case are not enough. Because the hotel is better than satisfactory but not very good. I would say good. The magical location, the breakfast under old trees, the friendly service - all fine. In the small apartment, the shaky shower was a nuisance. We found the decorating in the living room to be quite uncomfortable. The rooms on the street are too noisy on the ground floor.

Really idyllic

That was 10 out of 10 points, great service, excellent cuisine, supernettes team, great price performance ratio, the food was great, and it was really delicious.

It's perfect.

I booked this place because we needed to drop our car off early in Berlin and Neuruppin is only an hour away. Plus it was on a lake and known for its spa. That spa was out of our price range and this place had good ratings. And the name intrigued me.

Finding the place was a challenge, even with our GPS and you need to take a back lane to access it. The reception is an old church. That was cool. Attached to the church was a structure that looked like the hotel. Wrong.

We were in this little building across the parking area. One door with two numbers. Take the curved stairs up and we found our room. Possibly the smallest room we ever stayed at (and we have stayed at a lot of places). Painted a deep blue it made it seem even smaller. There was a bench for us to sit on and not much else. Internet? Nope. OMG we thought. As an overnight,  we had no choice and forced to check out the town. 

We came back as It got dark and discovered that the room only had sheers on the window, no curtains. We felt like there was no privacy and obviously, we were getting up at first light.

The beds were firm and okay to sleep on and the duvet kept us warm. The bathroom was small but clean and with the towel heater rack, we could warm up. The room is super clean but just not what the photos looked like. 

Breakfast was included and was very good.

So I wondered why it had such a good rating? In the morning the lot was full of either high end cars or service vehicle. Perhaps this made for a low cost stay with breakfast. By the time we were done breakfast the lot was cleared out. Off to work they went.

Not sure what to think. We got in the car and headed to Berlin.

An odd place with mixed results

The hotel has a great location in the old town, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is sufficient and the courtyard invites you to stay.

Highly recommended

Our room was very large and beautiful, but the situation in the courtyard turned out to be bad. First you hear the guests sitting outside talking in the evenings, and then you hear the staff cleaning the tables for breakfast from six o'clock... the situation is very nice, but it's more in winter...
