I needed to travel to Norden on the day of a DB strike and arrived cold, wet and tired from having to wait for and use three local bus services from Leer. The receptionist was welcoming and professional, although I slightly regret not having met Norden's Basil Fawlty. 
It may sound silly, but the warmth of the bathroom underfloor heating was just what I needed being chilled to the bone, before a hot shower revived me. There is a McD opposite for a quick bite out of hours. The breakfast buffet is generous and wide-ranging, and includes the ingredients for a full English (thankfully without the black pudding), with many sweet and savoury options. There is a health suite in the basement which I did not use. All very suitable if you are after rest and comfort without excess, very good value for money.

in general, a fair place to stay with a good ratio quality price. The only issue is one of the receptionists (probably the owner) is in love with Fawlty Towers and decides to mimic Basil and shout with guests,  stay somewhere else unless with enjoy the experience of been badly treated !!!

While the hotel is fine and most people of the staff are really nice and fine there is a man who shouts at you. I would not go there again. They should seriously think about removing him from the customer “service”.

During my travel along lower saxony with my Porsche 928 I was looking for a hotel in Norden on a saterday night. There was a little blues night in the close by Hotel zur Post, but that hotel was fully booked. So I drove to the next hotel, the Apart Hotel in Norden. And you need to know that Norden is a very poor city, lots of empty houses to sell, poor streets, shops, its a Sin City in the country side of Germany. When I was arriving the old man at the reception was already in a bad mood. And I was asking for a smokers room, which he could'nt provide. Than I was asking to have a look to the room before I would pay something like 80 Euro and he became angry. Finally he told me he does not have a room for me at all and that I need to leave his hotel. 

There's a huge mismatch in Germany of service people at the country site and international travelers. These service people don't use Internet, they are living in the old world, they don't know anything about review platforms and they even don't care. That doesn't make the story better for hotel owners. Hotel owners shall be much more selective with then people working for them, even during the weekends. An old and low payed employee during a weekend can occure a desaster when its coming to reviews like here on tripadvisors, the Sin City situations becomes even worth. I don't understand hotel owners who don't have an eye on their people working for customers, generating revenue and writing bad reviews when they're facing surprises like me. For 80 Euros I can get a reasonable hotel in Hamburg or Berlin having lots of fun at the hotel bar drinking Baileys or Ecke's Edelkirsch:-)

BIG WARNING - old fashioned service people are really unfriendly

Nice hotel right on the road to the beach resort on the North sea. The stuff is pleasant and helpfull. This hotel is suitable to more days to stay, but I traveled for bussines, so I stayed only one night. The room is roomy with modern furniture. Bathroom is clean and light. Breakfast is rich and fresh in good looking restaurant. This hotel is worth to visit, if You plan a stay in this region. Even if it is no high season.

Decent hotel,good breakfast, nice rooms(but no particular views).Just above average.Not so far to the beach.Helpful advice from receptionists.Worth visiting when you are planning a short stay at the North Sea.
