We love this Alpine little town and each time we visit, we stay at this small, family run hotel. It is very convenient, has its own parking lot (free), just a short walk to the heart of town. Hotel is very comfortable, meticulously clean, the breakfast is included and excellent. Our room had a nice balcony to walk out to. There is no elevator, so one has to be able to walk up a flight of steps with the luggage, well worth the effort.
The hotel is very reasonably priced.

Our Favorite Hotel in Oberammergau

My visit in mid summer was superb. The room afforded was clean, smart and spacious, breakfast brilliant and the owner was wonderful. Great stop on my business trip to Oberammergau and would strongly recommend it! Well done.

Friendly, comfortable and helpful

I stayed here while visiting the nearby NATO School, and was very satisfied with the accommodations.  The view from my window of the nearby massif was striking, particularly when hit by the morning sun.  The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was spotless!  Despite the inn being on a main street, there was no noise to disturb me.

The location is hard to beat.  It's about 100 meters from the train station (Bahnhof) so is very convenient for the traveler by rail, and is on the edge of the central city so everything seems to be within easy walking distance.  The Ammer River flows nearby, with a jogging and hiking trail along side which can be used for strolling and taking in the scenery, or for jogging and exercise.

The family that runs the inn is very friendly and goes the full measure to make sure the guest is well taken care of.  They will even make exceptions to accommodate the guest's departure schedule.

This is truly a nice comfortable place to stay.

Very Pleasant Accommodations

The Hotel Schilcherhof is a true gem in Oberammergau.  We've stayed there three times time (once for Christmas!) and have always been so pleasantly welcomed.  The rooms are large and beds are comfortable.  They go above and beyond for their guests and the breakfast is superb.

Very Favorite spot in Oberammergau

The situation is perfect because you can go wherever you want in the city walking and at the same time you have the opportunity to take a walk or run along the river.
As for the hotel, the room was good enough, the bed was quite comfortable and the breakfast allows you to start the day with a lot of energy. However, the best thing about the hotel is the friendliness of the owners, they always have a smile for you

Viaje de trabajo. Working trip

I thought this place was overpriced at €50pp especially when it was advertising €45pp out the front.  However we were told this included breakfast.
The room was basic but clean.  No teamaking facilities.  It was within walking distance to town.  Breakfast was good (no hot food though).  
It did the job but I have paid less for better.
