Natasha and Martin are very attentive and sympathetic hosts. They run the house in a very personal style, always have good tips for hiking trails, restaurants or other activities, and leave no wish unfulfilled.

It's a great guesthouse.

Hammer, Hammer, Hammer! We were on our way to work (shooting for my website) for six weeks and the first after Corona guests of 2021. Natasha and Martin welcomed us with open arms. I never felt like a customer, but I always felt like a guest in the sense of being with friends. Now I could make a list or even write a novel, why I would warmly recommend Birkenhof together with Natasha and Martin.

Family, friendly, famous!

Great place for a holiday, very friendly people that make you feel at home immediately after arrival.
Cosy atmosphere, not very new or design, but just very practical and good. Within walking distance of downtown restaurants and ski area.

We were at the Birkenhof from the 22nd to the 26th of October, we felt comfortable with the wonderful couple Natasha and Martin from the very first moment, and we traveled as friends again, nice rooms, a good breakfast, special wishes were not only fulfilled but actively offered, great tips were given, and whoever enters the breakfast room can be contacted by the enormously friendly and well-meaning way, thank you for beautiful days, we are definitely coming back.

Super relaxing days with friends

Dear Natasha, dear Martin, thank you very much for the wonderful time with you! My wife and I have rarely had such a warm and professional host and such a well-managed house! For all new guests: be sure to go: great location (super quiet and max 10 minutes' walk from the city centre), good beds, lightning-clean rooms, mega breakfast with high-quality and regional ingredients, great little sauna, skiraum, super tips and warm care from operator couple - in short: perfect. When you enter the well-kept place, you immediately feel a warm home atmosphere, which is enhanced by the warm, unimpeded reception by the couple Schickewitz. Throughout the entire stay, the two were always extremely friendly, attentive and extremely helpful. Their contagious cheerfulness also affected the guests. So the breakfast always became a cheerful round, even when new guests arrived. To this end, it also included its offer: fresh, crunchy bread, self-cooked marmalade, gourmets, tomatoes, origin from the region, mustard,... The offer was very interesting.

Kind, warm, helpful...

Even a few days apart, I am still positively impressed by this beautiful accommodation. A guest house in typical Allgäu architecture, which is characterized by the extremely friendly operator couple Schickewitz. From the personal greeting to the many little tips on leisure design and restaurant selection to the very excellent breakfast, there was nothing to be missed here. Thanks again for this great service. The single room was compact but well equipped and very clean, with a magnificent view towards the skiing pool.

Great location in 10-15 min. The town is well reached. Overlooking the mountains. The rooms are clean and if something is missing you just have to ask and it is organized. The hosts are very open and friendly, they give tips for tours or other activities. The breakfast has to be especially emphasized, regional freshly prepared products (which is not self-evident ), steamed mirror leaf or boiled eggs everything is prepared immediately fresh. The buffet is prepared with love of detail, when something goes out, laid directly after. To give a great service the guest the feeling of being friends.

Any time!

We didn't feel so comfortable for a long time. It was the many little things that made our stay so pleasant: the nominal reception on a table in the entrance area, the warm, open manner of the guests, the many useful extras in our room such as sufficient dress sheets, boxes for shoes, large cabinets that divided the room so that you didn't immediately look at the beds, storage space without end, a small but comfortable seating area and a new shower, plenty of storage facilities here too. The breakfast was varied and made with love and imagination. And the housekeeper had a slice of bread. A coffee was served with various drinks without limit and the breakfast was served with fresh eggs, and we were very happy to come back to the dining room.

It's like we're regulars.

I spent a long ski weekend at Gastehaus Birkenhof. I was greeted warmly by Natascha and Martin, who were in contact already prior to my arrival. They're such great hosts, and did everything they could to make my stay excellent. The guesthouse is about a 15 minute walk to the center of town, and less than 10 minutes to the ice rink or the Nebelhorn gondola. Parking is available and included in the price. My room was comfortable and roomier than many of the single rooms I've stayed at in Germany. They can also provide breakfast for a small fee, which included coffee, fresh bread and jam, various deli meats and cheeses, yogurt, and a choice of prepared eggs.
