We wanted to book an expensive suite for 5 days at the beginning of October. Unfortunately, a water damage occurred at our house that occupied us for weeks. A cancellation would have been possible 2 days earlier. So we called and asked for understanding - if it is forgiven - we only pay the free days. So we constantly checked when the suite was booked. 3 days were booked, 2 days were not. Still, we got a bill for 3 days and a receipt of 20%. You could also charge 100%! Since this includes breakfast too - it cannot be charged, we will leave €11/day of it (room service). So we won't book there anymore!

The Commission

As usual, we had been to dinner with friends and it was worth it. Everyone enjoyed a different dish and everyone was super well satisfied. Everything from the soup to the main dish to the dessert tasted wonderful - little tip: the rumpsteak is deliciously tender! A meal is rounded off, of course, with a good wine. Again, every taste is satisfied;) I can't give any information about the quality of the room, since we were daily guests.

It's worth a long trip

What can I say... we were here for one night. The hotel was right on our hiking trail, so the coming was hardly out of reach for us. The greeting was very warm and we felt very welcome. The rooms are just great. Comfortable beds, very clean and a great view. And for dinner - you can't praise enough here.

Great rooms, great food, incredibly great views.

Since my last visit, everything is still very good. This time I had a room in the parterre. Very nicely furnished, very clean, flawless. The menu in the restaurant is manageable. This time there were only geese or rye as the main dish. Both tasted very good. The wine selection is still great. The restaurant was closed on Saturday and Sunday.

free parking at the hotel. Very friendly reception. Very nice decorated restaurant. Super beautiful terrace overlooking the vineyards and the Rhine. Newly decorated rooms. Wooden floors. Very tastefully decorated. Everything very clean. The restaurant has a nice little menu. The food was super delicious. Very good wine selection at reasonable prices in glass or bottle. The hotel is here by the forest. Whoever wants to jog can go for a walk. For a fair in Frankfurt you can also stay here, and at normal prices. I'll come back.

We have enjoyed the regional cuisine on several occasions and found it to be exceptionally tasty.Friendly service.The range of white wines is also very good.Our room was rather simple but spacious with a nice view.

Excellent white wines and very good cuisine

Unfortunately, the weather didn't match, but you could tell by the great view. Rooms are simple and toilet shower is fine, but very small. The house has some 80s charm.

Great view, easy accommodation

Small hotel and restaurant with a beautiful view over the Rhein valley. A bit remotely located, but you can not get more attentive and personal service than what we recieved from Christoph, helping us out with driving down to Eltville and packing a great breakfast for us. Great rooms and good beds. Can also recommend the restaurant, well cooked food and local wines. In summertime really nice to sit on the terrass overlooking Rheingau to enjoy both breakfast and dinner. 

Great service!

Right on the edge of the forest, high above Hattenheim, the large terrace offers a great view of the vineyards and the Rhine. Directly from the hotel you can take beautiful walks along the Rhine or simply through the vineyards or into the forests that begin behind the house. The location is therefore ideal for nature lovers. The house itself is a bit old, the rooms have the charm of previous decades, but the bathrooms are quite new for this and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast was quite good but also nothing exceptional, the owner is very nice and also had really great tips for us.

Great view - a simple hotel

Charming family hotel with stunning views of the Rhine valley, the rooms are comfortable with everything necessary. Breakfast offers a buffet with excellent local food stalls. The reception by the owner is exceptional! He gives many tips for visiting the area. He came out to greet us on our departure! unprecedented for me! I look forward to returning! Free Wifi in the common areas.
