I booked for one night at hotel Teichwiesenhof during my roadtrip. Nice and clean room in a calm and comforting area. The host Frank prepares the breakfast for his guests. A very nice person who shows interest in his guests. I will definitely pass by again

Calmness and comfort

A really delightful country hotel, with superb hospitality from the owner.  Located in a quiet agricultural area, very peaceful and calm.  Lots of opportunity to sit outside and enjoy the natural surroundings. Very nice breakfast offering.

Only two small negatives: Wi-Fi is very slow, and the beds are firmer than average (but neither of those are deal-breakers).  There are only 12 rooms, so reservations are highly recommended.

A superb small country hotel, great value for the price

In this hotel you feel, that you are really welcomed guest. Breakfast is excellent. Service is fantastic. We stayed in room 6 with a great view and kind of terrace, so you can sit outside and watch fields. It is very quite place. Beds are comfortable and cosy.

Fantastic treatment by the owner. High standard of room and bathroom. Exelent breakfast and splendid garden where our dogs could run unleash without disturbing other guests.

On the road

Peaceful area, beautiful building, great breakfast. HUGE bathtub was great! Very clean and good room amenities.

Hard bed with textured linen was not very comfortable. Interior decor was not to my taste (but this is a personal opinion), lighting very harsh from bedside lamps.

It would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilities available in the communal areas for those guests who would like a cup outside of breakfast hours (especially for those of us who rise early and need a cup before breakfast).

Beautiful building, hard bed

We stopped overnight here on our way to Denmark and Sweden after driving through Germany from Brussels. It's not too far from Puttgarden if you are driving and want to get the ferry.  Rooms are spotlessly clean with a clever mix of modern and traditional decor.  The grounds have some whimsical artwork, and the setting is really peaceful.  Pets are no trouble, we were travelling with dogs. 

The best thing about the stay was the breakfast.  All very fresh with a great selection of options and eggs cooked to order.

Clean and charming

This guesthouse was our first stop on the way from Scandinavia to Brussels. After a long drive, the navigator guided us through small towns to a farm - or so it seemed. The Teichwiesenhof is really a renovated farmhouse, nicely modernized and with several funny and clever touches. 

The rooms are large enough, beds comfortable, the only remark was some faint noise carrying from another room. The view in the darkening night was fascinating - colour lights created a magical feeling. A matter of taste but we did like it! 

Our room was on the first floor, access to the patio is a bonus during beatiful summer nights. Bring your own snacks, the hotel has no restaurant. If you need one you need to look in the small towns around,

Very good breakfast in the morning rounded up an excellent stay. Note that the hotel has no WLAN, you need to provide your own internet connection!

Old farmhouse turned to a charming small hotel

A picturesque thatched-roof building set at the edge of grain fields makes Hotel Teichwiesenhof a very special accommodation.  The rooms are large, meticulously-clean, and artfully decorated; the bathroom is also large, well-lit and has ample storage.  Breakfast was served in a cheerful bright room, with cooked-to-order eggs and a bountiful selection of other foods.  The proprietor was extremely friendly and welcoming.

Charming country guesthouse

Only stayed one night. Great guesthouse we love it. Rooms are absolutely massive, modern and clean. Had a great night sleep all so quiet.  Best thing was our breakfast!  To die for, lots and lots of delicious things to devour! with very good quality selection!  Loved it, thank you.
