Our 4 day stay at Villa Granitz was enjoyable and relaxing. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the main street in Baabe leading to the sea. There's a good forest stroll close by too and the old steam train "Rasende Roland" passes along the tracks just beyond the car park. The tourist tax includes a voucher for free use of local buses and other reductions. Baabe is a holiday resort in style! 

The spacious room we occupied had two balconies and a big sofa as well as a small bathroom and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was fine, with a range of goodies including muesli, various cheeses, eggs, fresh rolls and croissants, etc. The owner/manager serves the coffee and entertains the guests with greetings and friendly remarks. We were given two small bottles of "sekt" when she realised that I was celebrating a birthday. Also noteworthy: the check-in welcome by an English speaker who also helped us with a restaurant reservation in German (which we understand but don't speak fluently). 

Most of the guests are German and there is very little information available about Baabe and Ruegen in English, which is a bit surprising. Perhaps the southern Baltic coast has gone under the radar as a tourist destination... But we found that there is plenty to see within a few kilometres of Baabe and the beaches and coastal forests are very beautiful. Our only other minor complaint: the lack of a kettle for making tea and coffee in the room; standard equipment in most hotel rooms these days.

We spent a very pleasant holiday in the Villa Granitz. A very well-kept house with charm. A sympathetic appearance of the host and hostess, very kind and attentive. The day started very well with breakfast. Here again: Thank you very much!!

A pleasant holiday spent

Beautiful and cozy hotel on the outskirts of Baabe. The rooms are large (about 30 m2) and cozyly furnished. And they are very clean. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast is excellent. We were not too far from the beach (about 1 km), especially since we could stroll through the very beautiful and quiet place. Alternatively, we could have taken the free bathtub. We can highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back.

Baltic Sea holiday in Baabe

This is a great hotel, which I recommend over and over again, and we'll be happy to come back. It's a great place to eat breakfast, the hammer, the whole staff, including the Lohse family.

For the third time in a row, the stay at the Villa Granitz with the Lohse family and their team was the basis for a successful holiday in Baabe and an opportunity for us to visit this particular hotel again for next year. Those who value a friendly atmosphere, comfort and great cleanliness and want to use the beautiful beach between Göhren and Sellin are right here. A good start to the new day is guaranteed by a lavish breakfast buffet and in the evening you can have another delicious drink at the cozy bar at extremely moderate prices. We thank the Lohse family and the whole team and welcome you to a welcome back.

Successful Vacation

We were on our first trip and wanted to get to know the island as much as possible. The Villa Granitz was the perfect starting point and the ideal accommodation for us. Super breakfast to go through the day stronger, good information at the reception, very friendly and helpful staff, classy and clean rooms with very beautiful balconies and a beautiful garden to expand with, for example, an Andalusian syringe from the hotel bar. Absolutely recommended!

Perfect accommodation for trips to Riga

The hotel is very lovingly decorated, the staff is incredibly helpful, charming, friendly and professional. The rooms are decorated with a lot of attention to detail and very very clean. The courtyard also invites you to stay and relax. The breakfast is abundant, both in number and choice. We will be very happy to come back.

In short: unbearable muffled odor in the room (DZ Deluxe!), noticeable immediately upon entering. So smoke in the 1970s in poorly sealed vans and assembled air mattresses or tents. The furniture is old and stuffed, the sideboard door hangs crooked, the table is totally tasty, the whole situation is unbearable. In short: untenable muffled and dirty, overalls from the rooms (DZ Deluxe!), noticeable immediately upon entering. So smoke in the 1970s in poorly sealed vans and assembled air mattresses or tents. The furniture is old and stuffed, the sideboard door hangs crooked, the table is totally tasty, the whole situation is unbearable. In short: untenable muffled and dirty, overalls from the rooms (DZ Deluxe!), the quality of the bathroom is unobtrusive. As a result of the very dark and humid condition of the bathroom, some of our customers must definitely be able to get out of the bathroom. They are very comfortable and uncomfortable, but they are not

There's something wrong with Baabe.

We were in the Villa Granitz for the second time after 2021 and were greeted so warmly as if we were old regular customers. We don't know where to start with the praise...Family Lohse and the entire staff team are always happy and it's such a relaxed atmosphere that it also affects the guests. You don't hear a genorrel and look at breakfast in happy faces in the morning. With the incredible breakfast buffet, this is no wonder either! There really isn't a wonder left unfulfilled! And the hardworking bees are always very busy refilling everything.

It's just great!!!!!

We've been to Villa Granitz for the third time, it's the most beautiful hotel for us. There's a great selection for breakfast. Everyone is super nice. The rooms have a refrigerator and are very clean and well maintained.
