We stayed here with our German family during our vacation.  We found the accommodations very clean and comfortable.  It is located very close to the museums so we could walk everywhere.  The food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing and the staff very friendly. Thank you from some Canadian Toursts

Great Food and Accomodation!

A very nice hotel, but very over priced I thought. The rooms are nice and clean, and the food was good. But overall I thought that it was over pried for what it is. My room was above the front door. Guest go outside to smoke and at night the noise is not good for sleeping.

Nice but over priced.

Located just a short walk from the railway station (approx. 8 mins), this basic hotel offers good value bed & breakfast accommodation.
The rooms are simple but have most of the necessary facilities, they are very clean and a reasonable size (based on our double room). There was a reasonable number of electrical sockets and plenty of room lighting.
An ample buffet breakfast is provided with both hot and cold food - staff replenished items frequently.
The staff were very friendly and English is spoken - although on this occasion I subjected the receptionist (possibly the owner) to my attempt at German. That was probably unfair on her but I've got to learn!!!
Although the hotels has 'Restaurant' written on the outside of the building,  I do not believe they provide this facility anymore. We anticipated this before we arrived so it wasn't an issue. Also, the receptionist/owner provided us with a list of restaurants in the immediate vicinity which was helpful.
There is ample parking at the front of the hotel.

Cheap and cheerful....and very good value

We stayed here in order to visit the V2 Rocket museum, and it is within easy  walking distance of the hotel. There is more to see, a maritime museum and a U-boat in the harbour. We were a little disappointed that there was no restaurant at the hotel, but there were places to eat in the local area, and the harbour is just 10 minutes walk away. The breakfast was excellent, buffet style and some little extras each morning. I get the feeling that Peenemunde is going to get better and better, it's going places!

Comfortable, friendly, good location for museums

The property is easily made out on arrival in Peenemunde, with a large car park, and we were made to feel  welcome after a very long drive from Holland. Helpful advice from check in on what to do, where to go and ( in the absence of an on site restaurant) where to eat: All within a short walk. Our rooms were absolutely spotlessly clean, with unblemished decor, comfy bed and linen, good lighting options, ample storage, and very good en suite with towels and some toiletries included. The location is very quiet and restful, ensuring a good night's sleep. As others have commented the breakfasts are really tremendous with a very wide range of hot and cold options. Very good value. Thoroughly recommended.

Comfortable and friendly

Stayed for 2 nights in September 2015.  Booked 3 single rooms which were of a nice size and very clean.  Lovely hotel, great service and fantastic buffet breakfast with both hot and cold items. Highly recommended.  The hotel has a bar and restaurant but unfortunately they were not open as it was out of season.

Zur Zwiebel Hotel, Peenemunde

Good, clean and quiet accommodation in a pleasant surroundings.
Warm welcome. Good breakfast with a range of cold meat, cheeses, vegetables and some hot food. No evening meal, but a 5 minute walk to the harbour with 4 places to eat.
Recommended location to visit historic Peenemunde, and also as a base for the Baltic Coast. Would stay here again.
