If you want to feel like a locksmith, you're right at the Marihn Castle Hotel. An exclusive stay with high doors, traditional wooden stairs and floors. Our double room No. 2 with red carpet and especially large bathroom with free-standing bathtub and more than a large shower. We liked that only hotel guests had access to the castle and the well-maintained park. A beautiful breakfast room, currently two by Corona, has started the day harmoniously. From our point of view with a lock would have been nice bags and plates. And five kinds of homemade marshmallow dishes that you don't get to eat daily, such as English beers or Pflats.

A Successful Stay Despite Corona

Amazing place, uncluttered charm. We've stayed several times in Schlosshotel Marihn in at least four of the seven rooms/suites. It is just as others describe. No internal phone system, generously proportioned rooms, all but one suite are on the first floor with views out over the 'English' garden and park, varied and quality breakfast buffet (though warm food is limited to eggs), friendly, but very light-touch staffing - and overall for what it is, surprisingly good value. We had to smile at the guest on TA who feared the worst when she saw how swish it was and needed to check that the prices were  indeed per suite/room rather than per person. We can remember doing just that ourselves. The rooms are cool and airy and every one has one window with anti-midge gauze; the building aims to be free of flying insects. Country village area with quiet roads for cycling and walking. And yes, we have booked again for August 2020

The owners' love for the building is unmistakable. Feels like a privilege to stay there.

We enjoyed a week of peace in this wonderful environment. The reception and service were very friendly. The rooms were tastefully decorated. Breakfast is excellent, always fresh, dinner is also provided when pre-ordered in the morning. But if you need the great entertainment program, you have to try somewhere else. You can find peace here, except for the whistle in the park that wakes you up in the morning.

Castle in the Green

So the whole thing was something special. I would say an excellent stay for a couple of nights. Waking up with birdwatches in a location that just reminds me of old times... huge rooms, all individually and in total only seven rooms. That's the break for the hotel chain every day. Of course, everyone has to realize that it's a special luxury that's not about consumption/trend, but traditional. I thought it was great and the family atmosphere makes it a special stay. I'd rather recommend it for couples. We were there for business.

A romantic dream for those who are excited about it.

If you are looking forward to a hotel with a full service, lively guests, evening entertainment and a scenic location, you will be very disappointed, but you should read the homepage carefully: the hotel is de facto a hotel garni on a high level, however. Very generous rooms, an excellent breakfast, an absolutely quiet location in a spacious park, friendly service, these are the special features of this house. As for the park, it is likely that the orderly hand, bushes and hedges would be familiar with a cut, and if the much-famous rose garden really gets the right care, I dare to doubt (as a layman)

You gotta like it

We were with friends in the Havelsource area to do two-day paddle tours. When planning everything, we decided on the Hotel Schloss Marihn, as the Havelsees are affordable to reach from here. We did not regret the decision!! The hotel is located very quietly in a beautiful environment and is honoring its name. Embedded in a large park, the hotel has a lovely and tasteful atmosphere. It offers only two rooms, but a lack of comfort. Each room is individually designed, offers a lot of space and has been refurbished with love of detail.

Live like a castle lord!

Authentic castle flair with suitable furniture and furnishings of the rooms. Beautifully equipped and very spacious bathroom (free standing bath, double washing table, large shower). Personal, direct and very friendly contact with the staff, since only a total of five suites plus two rooms. Ground floor atmosphere. Great breakfast with regional, fresh products (cheese, sausage from the wild, homemade marmalades, etc.) and high-quality teas. Immodest fulfillment of special wishes (e.g. supply of lactose and gluten free three products for breakfast). But: Marium Estela offers rarely, but very conveniently located.
