The journey to "Gasthof Pension Zur Triftsperre" is a picturesque adventure that leads you through stunning landscapes, especially when you choose the most scenic route. This location is breathtakingly beautiful. The staff exceeds all expectations with their extraordinary attentiveness and warmth. The room provides everything you need in a stylish simplicity. In room 28, you'll enjoy delightfully comfortable beds and a captivating view from the balcony. The dinner is not only flavorful but also generously portioned. We are eagerly looking forward to staying here again!

Head to the end of the world, go about 4kms past it and you will find this place.
It is right on the river with and really nice biergarden and some nice areas to walk.
Passauer Helles is very acceptable and served cold.
The highlight however is the trout, which is so fresh that I think it jumped onto the pan itself and is wonderful!
It is worth the effort to find this place, if only for the trout.

If you can find it, it's worth it.

Nice stop that was out of the hustle and bustle of towns.  Very clean and accomodating staff except for the fact we felt somewhat unwelcome because we did not speak German.  The young man at the desk did his best during our stay which was great but the rest of the staff, a young girl and older lady, seemed to be put off that we did not speak the language.  I get being a little disturbed at that but please do not shun folks who are not from your area.  If that is the case, announce it prior to arrival.

The hotel was quiet and the dinner pretty good, although no English menu. No elevator, all stairs.  Grounds need a little work as it seems to be a little overgrown.

Nice stop

Stayed here whilst travelling from the UK via Belgium, Germany, Austria and France. Travelled part way in an old Classic Car and then with friends in their motorhome. Booked prior to visiting Passau and the owners very accommodating with friends motorhome. Room with ensuite, clean and ample for our over night stay although my husband did struggle with the numbers of stairs. Both breakfast and evening meal very good value for money. Location is very remote and we did end up in a farmers drive but he soon pointed us in the right direction - assume he was use to the error. The hotel appears to have been extended and improved but they could benefit from additional help, especially the external groundworks, as it covers a large area. Lovely quiet location next to the river and ideal for walkers.
