After meeting the inn three years ago during a holiday in Pfronten and being enthusiastic, we drove twice from our holiday destination to Pfronten for dinner this year. The quality, taste and service were as good as last time. The meat from the region was very good. Onion fries with cheese patty and rumpsteak are highly recommended.

Very good service and delicious food

The Aggenstein Inn is a place to feel comfortable, the rooms are clean, the guests and the entire staff are very friendly and hospitable, the price-performance ratio is very good, breakfast is varied and balanced and tasty. One must also mention in particular the very good and tasty food, which is offered in a wide selection. The portions are sufficient and large enough that anyone gets full, even in the event of a great hunger.

Keep it up!

The hotel is very good. Parking is free. The rooms are fine. The dining room is very good. The prices for a hotel are still in place. We'd like to come back. Thank you.

Good hotel

Based on the variety of foods displayed, we could have guessed that the preparation of the food was not the first (and freshest!!) priority. This is a general. It is a general restaurant that takes its money with quantity. I had the look of my seating area right in the huge kitchen, and so was the fixed completion of our order. It took only a short time, and our food (snitzel and necksteak) was served. After some bits we were left with the toughness of the meat as the alternative, leaving the rest to stand. Another further assessment of this cook: I leave the house for polite reasons.

Breakfast is delicious, dinner is just as delicious. We enjoyed ourselves! The atmosphere is very pleasant and warm. The staff is very hospitable. A typical hotel in the Alps. We recommend!

That's great!

It's a classic guesthouse with civic cuisine, especially the children's playroom, but it's also very expensive, and it's located on a busy street, but you don't get to see it as a guest, so cars drive everywhere, so it's all good.

Food is fine.

We stopped for dinner in four people but none of us said we were satisfied. The place is large and the owner is very kind and affectionate but the kitchen is not up to the standards as well as the various drinks we have taken.

Appearance is not everything

They were here on the recommendation of a local to eat. Snitch and hax were ordered. Both at the table after a few minutes. Hax apparently old and sometimes bockhard and already gray in the meat, overall glamorous flavor. Sour cream with a slightly fishy touch. Nuts inside still dry and raw. Snitch not much better. Overall impression like mass preparation. The next day still strong aftertaste in the throat.

I mean...

Our friends booked a stay for all of us at this country inn. We drove up late at night and immediately felt that we would have a good stay at this quaint place. Frau Zeh, the wife of the owner welcomed us personally, made sure that we had dinner, keeping the kitchen open for us, and also made sure that we were comfortable with our rooms. The rooms are rather basic, but scrupulously clean and comfortable. Beds were typically German: two mattresses in a double frame, two blankets. We had breakfast buffet and menu-fixe, three course dinner included. The breakfast was beautifully laid out with local cheese and meat offerings, the best soft-boiled eggs I've had in a while, breads and fruit, coffee, tea, in a word everything you could ask for in a hearty mountain breakfast to sustain you for the hikes of the day. Dinner was always delicious, and for me always vegetarian, something I really appreciated. You can order wine or beer (you're in Bavaria after all), Odl (a local Kraeuterschnapps of sorts, cures everything) or cocktails extra. We were there for a Friday evening of Bavarian and Austrian (it's only a few kilometres away) music; they had a full house and we were treated to a lovely evening. I've saved the best for last: we were leaving very early, before the kitchen opened in the morning, and Frau Zeh made sure that we had lunch sandwiches, fruit, water and orange juice for our journey. How many hoteliers and innkeepers do you know who will offer you this? If you go for hiking or skiing, we heartily recommend that you give Gasthof Aggenstein the opportunity to make your vacation a success. Danke vielmals und auf Wiedersehen!

The hotel is clean and comfortable.The bedroom window offered a beautiful view of the mountains.The food at the restaurant is delicious.We are very satisfied,but we will definitely come again and again.
