We spent there only one night, we had a double room with lake view. The view can be seen only if you get out on the terrace. The breakfast was average. But overall it was ok, we would come back. It was a nice atmosphere all in all

Nice view

Hotel is clean and rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Nice that they have bike rentals available. Area is beautiful and awesome for bike riding. We enjoyed the free breakfast. We were told they were short staffed and one or two people were a little unpleasant about it. But it was a good visit on the whole.

Family vacation

We had a very disappointing experience at Lake House Plön.
To be fair let me mention that the breakfast is ok and the room is clean.
There is, however, so much traffic noise that sleeping was difficult and we had to keep yhe windows shut.
Worst of all was the restaurant: The food that was served was not just on the poor side - it was downright inedible.
We had to leave the food almost untouched. When I told this to the restaurant manager he showed some very bad behaviour, and told me in a strict and harsh voice, bordering on threatening, that the food was fine and I had to pay the full amount.
My best advice is: Stay away from this place - the "service" is hostile, the quality of the food is unmentionable, and the noise from the road is deafening.

A bad experience

We spent 3 nights at the hotel. A room was spacious and clean. An excellent shower that was important after hiking and biking. The room was quiet until opened the window in the night (room was warm, no ventilation). The traffic was very noise since the hotel is located by the main road so sleeping was bad. Which one to choose…..a bad warm air in the room or the traffic noise outside? If possible, ask a room in the garden side. The breakfast was very good, as well the restaurant/bar in the evening. We once had a dinner in the hotel and walked to the town in two other evenings (walking took around 25 minutes that was ok to us). Parking area is good. We are very satisfied about the stay except a bad sleeping. Maybe A/C would be a good idea but don´t know If it is possible to install because the buildning is old.

A very good hotel

Lake House Plön is a modern and fresh hotel located on the outskirts of Plön next to a thoroughfare. The rooms are fresh and have good beds. The breakfast was good with a wide variety. The location is not ideal if you want to explore central Plön. It takes 30 minutes to walk to the center. Furthermore, the hotel is located next to a major thoroughfare which causes some noise even at night.

Modern hotel in the outskirts of Plön

Everything is new and delicious, nice design and good beds. From our apartment there was the most beautiful view of the lake. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

We went on a boat trip on the lake, which has a departure just below the hotel. We were also at restaurants in Plön, we found some good places to eat. It takes 5 minutes by car.

Very nice place

It's always nice to be back in beautiful Schleswig Holstein -land of lakes, rolling hills and dense forests. I've known the Lake House (Fegetasche) from my previous stays in the area, and I must say they've done a great job with the hotel's recent refurbishment. It's a great location, right on the lake with direct access to the 5 Lakes Boat Tour (5-Seen-Fahrt). Although my room was a little on the small side on the 2nd floor, it was very clean, with a large comfortable bed, and a great view onto the grounds behind and the lake. Lovely, with the autumn colours already visible in the surrounding trees. It's a great location to start exploring the many sights in the area. Breakfast was included in my room rate, with a very extensive selection of both hot and cold food. Seats in the Breakfast Room all have a direct view out onto the lake. My only negative, the lack of coffee/tea making facilities in my room, although one could grab a cuppa at any time at the breakfast room. The Wi-Fi was free and very good. Overall a delightful stay!
