We had booked with HP for 7 days, unfortunately we focused on the 4 stars in the prospectus.This hotel is quite isolated. Breakfast was quite a bit, including mirror guides and espresso.The 2nd round dinner was repeated on the 3rd day and consisted mostly of TK very unkindly,what do you need a chef for?The staff were struggling, but you noticed that it is only cheaply managed here (under insolvency management) No distribution option, telephone network was constant and WiFi was rarely available

4 Stars are exaggerated

Rooms are nicely decorated, but everything. WiFi only in one corner of the room at about 1.20 meters in height and then only in very poor quality. Two windows in the room but only one with curtains. Morning sunshine shines directly in the room. No WiFi in the restaurant. Restaurant only open until 9:00.

No four-star hotel

When I book a four-star house, I don't want to see the insolvency manager behind the counter and tell me that the WiFi is limited to 500MB. I also don't like hearing that everything is limited because of lack of staff.

Be careful!

The hotel actually makes an appealing impression. The reception and nearby rooms have a pleasant appearance. The rooms are also very generous and very clean. Up to this point the 4 stars would be quite representative! But actually 3 stars would be fair and not more!!! Because sometimes the heaters are suddenly inexplicably cold. In the bathroom for the morning shower it's already a little strange and quite cold! Even the towels would dry better at the appropriate heat! The restaurant and at the same time the breakfast room are also very large, but the dining room is very sterile. The dining room for the 4 stars is then quite cleansed for the 4 days' dining room..... unfortunately, you have to eat a piece of breakfast, almost every morning snack is worth eating??? The breakfast is almost worthless and the service is not the same as it is in the hotel, but the breakfast room is also very large, but the dining room is very sterile! The dining room is very clean and then the dining room is very tasty.

Would be more efficient!!!

We booked this hotel for one night because we went to the Sturgeon Cup parties. We paid 30€ for one night, including breakfast. So really cheap. But I would also say that 4* are not quite justified. I've seen better 3* hotels. I don't want to make a deal for the price though! We were kindly received and our 'comfort' room was clean and pleasantly large. There is one, for a hotel room, really big TV. The beds are made of feather mattresses and feather pillows. Besides, not like our case...

For the usual price, I wouldn't have booked...

I recently had the pleasure of being a guest in Vilmnitz for one night and I felt comfortable around. I learned that recently there was a change of tenant and a fresh wind is blowing through the house:-) It is a house in a very quiet village area near Putbus. Whoever values a hearty service, cleanliness and comfort could feel comfortable here. The breakfast consisted of a simple but absolutely sufficient breakfast buffet and a delicious menu ensures that hunger is stopped on a beautiful day in the vicinity of Rügens. Whoever likes trouble and design should probably go to Binutzen, but can switch off here.

I like it all the time

Despite the earlier negative review here, we have booked two nights in Ulmenhof via booking.com. What followed was probably the worst service experience I had during the past 10 years and I have traveled in over 80 countries and stayed in all kinds of places.

First of all because my friend had to work late, we missed the check-in (8 PM) and thus we were forced to pay 80% cancellation fees despite not staying there. We asked them if we could at least have a breakfast tomorrow since we are paying 40 EUR for nothing (and they got money for free) and they said no problem. Despite the hotel being fairly big, they don't have any night check-in facilities and wouldn't leave the key at a neighbor or so, they just did not care. 

We arrive in the morning - the receptionist and the other person helping us were amazingly unfriendly despite the hotel being almost empty. We almost had to laugh - we just paid 40EUR for nothing and had to put up with them telling us that our handwriting is ineligible and that despite their reassurance that we could have breakfast now they said the breakfast was already finished. After asking them again several times, they brought breakfast upstairs. Guess what, the next day they charged us for this breakfast despite not telling us it would be paid (we just paid 40 EUR for nothing...) Amazing...

We go for breakfast the next morning, the woman is unfriendly as ever, she tells us we should sit in a far away corner, we tell her we already sat down in another place - she says it's not possible (!??!?) because we would have to reserve it. Again, we almost laughed, the restaurant was completely empty... Then she said ok... It was just amazing how unfriendly somebody can be - these people really shouldn't be in a hospitality business.

Then we try to check-out and again trouble, they tried to overcharge us (despite overpaying for breakfast and paying 40EUR for empty room we couldn't use) - come on, do you guys care about your guests at all or are you here to squeeze every last Euro out of them while giving them bad experience? We wanted wifi and guess what, 5 EUR per day, 300 MB limit, come on... You want a safe key, 2.5 EUR per day I have never seen anything this bad before, it is amazing they are still in business, they just don't care about their guests at all, it felt as if we were an obstruction to their peaceful day.

Otherwise the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, but why would you want to put up with such a ridiculously bad service on your vacation - please stay elsewhere, these people are as unfriendly as it gets.

Stay elsewhere, you've been warned.
