We had a great experience; the food was good, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a really great bathroom.  It is a family owned establishment and we had a great conversation with the family's son.

Unbelievable View

I give one star not because of bad conditions in the hotel, but due to poor customer services and no empathy. We had a car accident and consequently we were not able to come to the hotel. We had to cancel few reservations but only this one hotel did not agree to give us any discount and charged us with a full cancelation fee, despite the fact that we requested for the discount few days before our planned stay. The money turned out to be the most important. We will definitely choose other accommodation next time. 

Bad experience 

Fantastic food at very reasonable prices, particularly if you opt for one of the packages including half-board and a packed lunch. Our kids love this place (they are now 10 and 12). We have been regular visitors for several years now, and find the location excellent for walking, skiing and sightseeing. The rooms are very generously proportioned and extremely clean and well-kept, and the evening meal is always a highlight - good, freshly prepared Bavarian cooking at its best!

Great food, spacious, clean rooms

We had a family dinner at the Baltram and really enjoyed the fantastic food and homey atmosphere. The owner who also waits on his guests was extremely attentive and made sure all needs, especially those with allergies, were well cared for. 

The food changed on the daily menu with attention to fresh and local ingredients. Special requests were celebrated and not frowned upon. Kids were very welcome and a special section of the menu dedicated to them. The menu in English helped enormously. 

The whole family was so happy, we chose the Baltram twice afterwards and will come again on future occasions. 

Fantastic food and ambiance 

I stayed at Gasthof Baltram in 2011. I have been to Berchtesgaden and Ramsau several times, and the hotel I always stayed at was closed. I found this hotel on the computer, and it looked very nice. There were 5 in our group, and we all enjoyed our stay very much. The view was great, the rooms were very clean and modern, and the price was quite reasonable.. I have been to Germany several times since then, but I was in the north visiting family. I hope to return to the Ramsau area soon as it is a beautiful area, especially the Königsee. Oh, the breakfast and the restaurant were also great. I definitely would come back to Gasthof Baltram if I return to the area. This review was for a previous trip in 2011, but I could not enter a date for a couple of years back.
