Excellent value for money. The owning/managing family are very warm and skilled as hosts. The food is generous in portion size and is excellent during special seasons e.g.
asparagus. The rooms are generous in size and well equipped with traditional fitted furniture.

Like home away from home.

Lovely restaurant with great local German food. Service was good and excellent choice of food.Some of the menu was in English but the staff were very helpful.The area was lovely and bustling with tourists and local people.

Great German Food

We stayed at Zur Krone for 3 nights as we traveled in the Ronneburg area last summer (2016).  Although almost a year has past, I still remember fondly our time at this marvelous gasthaus hotel. We had a room on the second floor with a wonderful little balcony, where we could enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine and look out at the pretty town of Ronneburg-Huttengesass.. Our room was neat as a pin, well appointed with a modern bathroom and reasonably priced. Chef Reiner Erdt runs the restaurant at Zur Krone and it's something you're sure to enjoy. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is nothing short of superb. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in an authentic German village, this is the place. I hope we get a chance to return again sometime soon.

Fond memories of this charming gasthaus and restaurant

The hotel has fairly good rooms, although quality of bathroom varies. Some rooms have re-fitted bathrooms which are to a very high standard. WIFI is also fairly fast , compared to some other surrounding hotels. The restaurant food is quite good, with some traditional local cuisine in the menu. It seems quite popular with the locals which is always a good sign.
Buffet Breakfast has also a reasonably good spread. General service is good and homely.
Conveniently located near Frankfurt and close to the 45 autobahn.

Good accommodation with excellent restaurant

The restaurant was wonderful. The family owned restaurant. Beware no English menus but the staff speaks enlish and very helpful with selections. They do not get many tourist so this is your true German local flavor.
