this small hotel has very nice rooms, goods food, and best of all a very freindly staff.
It is close to Wittenberg, the Luther town, and close to Leipzig, a city with lots of nice bouildings. Close to river Elbe

cosy hotel

Stayed one night at this hotel. As far as accommodation goes, you are limited for choice here except for small pensions. The Parkhotel looks like it was once a grand hotel. Sadly it hasn't been updated for seem time. That said, it is big, rooms are spacious, nice ensuite etc. I know I can't expect English to be spoken everywhere, I get that, but at this hotel NOONE I came int contact spoke English, which surprised me. All in all a nice enough mid range hotel. Wifi, is a system I still don't understand and no one there could help! When are hotels going to simplify the process for accessing wifi?
I must say the food was excellent. But breakfast was a huge disappointment with very limited options,

Clean and basic

I wish we hadn't stayed here. Having been checked in and sent away with a key and vague directions to the bike storage, we did two circuits of the outside of the hotel in the pouring rain, trying to find a garage door marked no. 8 where the bikes were to be stored, and the door to the part of the hotel where our room was supposed to be. Our return to reception for help was met not with sympathy but a mocking sneer. I couldn't believe it. In the end the bicycles spent the night outside in the rain chained to a fence, and we found a different route to the room. The room was OK, if a bit tired, and there was wi-fi but it was very intermittent. 

We ate in the restaurant, because it was the only place in town, and while the atmosphere was dead, the food was actually pretty good and the person who served us was nice too. Shame about the hotel.
