Absolutely beautiful stay at this gorgeous guest house! The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, she says her English isn't good but I thought she was brilliant :) the room was clean and bright and the bed was the comfiest I've stayed in one my 3 week trip around Europe. Also in a great location and my dog (Sir Winston, as he was nicknamed) was extremely welcome! Will definitely recommend to everyone!

Beautiful stay in a beautiful place 

It was a good decision to sleep there. The only that I missed the latest check in hour and the went to sleep around 21:30 or so. You need to hurry.
Good place for family with kids.
The wify could be better.

Friendly and homely

A very enjoyable stay with warm hosts who made you very welcome. Breakfast was good and the room comfortable. We felt totally at home making good use of the small bar facility
Will return next year for more of the same

A pleasant walk from St Goar to a very friendly guest house

Started badly as the room we booked was a budget room. This means you get a small room with a small bed. no amount of discussion would change the mind of the owner who seems to think even if you order a double room on a budget price you get the smallest room. ended up paying more for a larger room. Breakfast ok.

Not very good

This was the fourth hotel on our walking tour, the Rheinburgenweg. We received a very warm welcome from the owner but unfortunately this did not match the temperature in our room which was ice cold. The bathroom was tiny and also cold, not what we wanted after a long day of walking.
Although the guesthouse is advertised as having a restaurant we were not able to get food there and went to a nearby campsite which served basic but very acceptable meals. It was the first day that this particular restaurant was open so we were very lucky because otherwise we would have had to walk into the town, quite some distance away, and we had done enough walking already that day.
In the morning we found the breakfast room very cold too but fortunately the breakfast itself was good. We asked if we could take rolls for our lunch from the breakfast buffet and were allowed to do so although we felt not very willingly! This had not been a problem at our previous hotels.
On the positive side the accommodation is in a pleasant location with a garden that you could sit in but without a car it is somewhat isolated. We would probably not stay there again.

Cold!

Small hotel run by Knab couple. Even with little spoken english.. We are very happy with the service. We had attic room for one person and a bigger room for 2. It looks more like a suite as it has separate bedroom and living room. You will hear sounds of water running from nearby stream and birds singing in the morning. Can also trekking up the hill. I bet rhine river view must be beautiful from the hill.
