We have been in this hotel less then 3 hours but already regret that we came here. Terrible service and unfriendly staff. The cleaning standard in our room was poor (see attached photos). The toilet haven’t been cleaned adequately and you could still se “leftovers” from previous guests. Furthermore, the toilet paper haven’t been changed. The shower was cold and there was no hot water.

Terrible hotel!! Don’t come here!

We booked hotel just two hours before arrival due to its location in small village just 10 min off the autobahn. Checked in with no hassle. Room was clean. We had dinner in restaurant which I recommend for its authentic Bavarian atmosphere

Nice place, excelent meal, polite staff, nice rooms. Not far from Munich, approximately 30 minutes by car. In the countryside.  Parking and wifi are free od charge. Could recommend for families, but for business travelers as well.

We booked in here last minute after deciding to leave our other hotel in Austria early. We were not disappointed. We stayed in the new block in a ground floor unit. It was beautiful with a traditional modern feel, a great big comfy bed and a lovely shower room. We dined on the outside terrace and the food was really good. It was busy but you could see why. We would certainly stay here again and so near to Munich the prices are excellent.

What a nice hotel

My wife and I plus her complete family "the in-laws with kids" all stayed here over the Easter break for 4 days.  The wife and I chose to stay in one of the Comfort rooms, it was a great upgrade.  Surrounded by real wood, quiet and relaxing room environment.  Country style home feeling, yet modern bathrooms.  

After the in-laws left, I decided to stay in the same Comfort Room as it was really nice.  I stayed for an additional 4 nights for Work purposes including an onsite workshop.  They made me feel very much at home and the environment was extremely peaceful.
 The hotel was very clean and well kept.  This together with the very friendly staff made for a nice stay.  A special thanks to the front desk personnel as well as the housekeepers.  Everyone did whatever they could to make my extended stay pleasurable.

We traveled the area, went to Munich (within 20 minutes), the wonderful Tegernsee region, all while staying here as our home base away from any traffic or big city noise.  We booked here based on the reviews from TripAdvisor.  The hotel exceeded my personal expectations in terms of the room, the food, the service and cleanliness.  

The food was great.  I noticed all the locals coming for Easter or just for meals, a good sign that the food and service are really outstanding.  The breakfast room is very clean and serves nice fresh Brötchen with breakfast.  Meats and cheeses, eggs, cereal, cooked to order, etc they did it all.  

I certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit the Munich area, without any security worries in a quant and quiet residential area.  It is a very quiet area in a good way.  You might hear sounds of the land, nothing worrisome.

The prices here are amazing as well. 

If you haven't been here before, try it, you'll love it.  You'll be back!  I will.

Great food. Relaxing surrounding.  Very clean. Near Munich and many other delightful places...

Schmucks was a special place for my husbands father who has passed. We very much enjoyed visiting this charming place and seeing the family still sitting in the restaurant together. Also nice that they remembered his father after quite a few years! We stayed one night and loved the newly updated rustic but modern rooms. We also enjoyed a small family and friends reunion meal in the restaurant! Thank you Scmucks!
