Arrived on a dark cold and wet November evening in front of a locked door during alleged opening hours. It was a Sunday. Called the out of hours number to be just told it was closed. I was asked if I had a Booking, which I had through Expedia. They didn't care. Booking was made 4 weeks ahead. At no time was I contacted that the hotel was closed prior my arrival. No one cared. Response bordered on being rude, so I terminated the call and after some time searching found an alternative Hotel in the next town. There was nothing else available in Schortens.

Don't bother! 

The staff of the hotel were at all times very friendly and hospitable. When we entered the accommodation, an unpleasant cold cigarette smell came to the table. The rooms were decorated, but everything was very old, down and not clean. Under the fridge and under the bed, there were still beer lids from the previous guest. The cleaning leaves much to be desired. The breakfast was fine. It was all brought to the table on individual plates because of Corona.

Not again.

Everything's very messy. It's probably being renovated. Building materials are lying down. Rooms just smell like fire. Noise on the main street. Breakfast was the best. Very nice old gentleman. He's working hard. Otherwise he'd have to be urgently cleaned. Spider webs over spider webs. The price for a double room is too high.

We were businessmen in Wilhelmshaven. We stayed overnight in Schortens. To put it briefly: the cold smoke from the bar is blowing through the whole hotel, disgusting! The rooms need to be urgently renovated. The elderly gentleman who made the breakfast was very nice.

Never again!

The cornered house is partly in a highly renovated, slightly decayed condition. To be allowed in on arrival, you must first call for someone to pass by. The rooms are simply furnished, the bathrooms such as T. defective, the doorstock swollen up. Upon returning late at night you could be happy to be able to enter the hotel at all, because there was someone else there by chance, because the door lock was jammed. The breakfast was absolutely buffet-style and tidy, but despite the heat, it was not kept cold (worset, cheese, meat salad, etc.), so that the butter pieces were already more than soft. A place to stay that you should only find if there is something better to eat in the neighborhood.
