We stayed in this guest house for two nights. The rooms and breakfast room have windows overlooking the castles. The room is spacious and very clean, like the bathroom. Good breakfast, very friendly and caring owners. Great suggestion to buy castle tickets at 7.30 to avoid very long queues.

Lovely people, wonderful views of both castles. Small room, but big enough. Balcony, bathroom, small fridge, TV. Every day the room is cleaned. Breakfast was a good choice, everything the heart desires. And the two are super friendly, friendly and have driven us to the neighboring towns every morning. But you can also comfortably take a bus to the foot or to the castles. The spa is about 10 minutes' walk away and there is also a beautiful Bavarian restaurant, brewery and an Asian restaurant. (V also much more). Very highly recommended!

It's a very pleasant and wonderful view.

The owners are warm friendly caring people. Their English was better than my German so I can’t complain! 

The owner gave us a lift to Neuschwanstein Castle. 

The room is IMMACULATE! I mean scrubbed clean and the bed was very comfy. The balcony had full view of Neuschwanstein Castle.

Spacious room, great pressure shower, great breakfast, clean clean clean!! You can tell care is put into this place. 

The owner also called us a cab. 

Cannot recommend to stay here more highly!! The owners should be very proud of the operation they are running! Felt like home! 

1 grievance - no wifi :-( which made planning the next leg of our trip a bit difficult - being from Australia. We have no phone. Alas! There a fabulous well priced brauhaus just down the road with wifi! (Much cheaper than Füssen!! Who have learned to up their prices for tourists).

Feels like home

We stayed a little longer in the area and had to quickly look for something for one night. The host couple is very nice and breakfast was great. The room had a balcony. Unfortunately the beds were extremely short (1.8m), so I actually took the really not big (1.7m) somewhere in the bed. I had never experienced such small beds...as a host I would change something here...or use the room as a storage room if it is so small that there is no room for a larger bed. For the area around the locks the price is ok. If you drive only 10km away, you get much better/better rooms for less money. Of course I can only speak for our showery room, even if the other rooms were different....but the room was ok, but the other rooms were still in the Haverhill neighborhood.

For a night, all right.

The room was very clean and large, the furnishings in good condition and the bed extremely comfortable. From the fender the two castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau were visible with a view of the mountains. Very good buffet breakfast! The operators of the hotel were extremely friendly and very hospitable.

Very nice accommodation

The bathroom has 1 piece of soap and 4 (!) small towels for the face (and they're not a set like in a boarding house) in a variety of colors and sizes, old, coated, scratching leather, they can easily get hurt!. After settling the bathroom lamp immediately burned over - the housekeeper asked her husband to change, a long time ago with a hot tongue. The bathroom towel didn't even give a coffee, she had to get down and ask - so dissatisfied with the towel, they put it in the racetrack right before the morning.

The attraction of greed

I was on vacation with my wife to visit Ludwig's castles, great for visiting castles, we had a room with castle views, great breakfast, courtesy, it's like staying two days with an aunt.

Family environment

Little BB located in front of Castelli, good reception from the owners, the room very clean and ordered, with refrigerator and TV, sorry there were no big towels for the shower, no courtesy set but a soap, which could also be there, but given the price of 90,00 euros per night which is not little for a BB they could put something in it too.

Cleanliness and courtesy

We only stayed one night here as we were touring but we would certainly stay there again.  The owners were very friendly and helpful although their English was limited. We were with my brother and sister-in-law and had private rooms and bathrooms to ourselves on the ground floor. The gasthaus was well situated withing walking distance of the two castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau - both well worth a visit.  #lovely people and lovely accommodation.

Well situated and a lovely place to stay

We stayed in Schwangau from 30.05.2015 and spent two nights at Haus Elisabeth, a beautiful B&B in an excellent position for those who want to visit the castles. From the window of the room we could see them! We stayed in a family room (two communicating rooms and a bathroom) very spacious and clean. The owner who welcomed us was very kind and available.
