We rented an apartment near to this place and we came here 2 times for dinner. I liked this restaurant, nice  and calm atmosphere and so delicious food and also good location. Service was good as well.

Good restaurant 

The hotel is located in Schweich, near the Mosel river, approx. 12 km (8 miles) North of the city of Trier.
Rooms are spacious and clean and include a private bathroom (renovated), TV and a seating area; we booked a room with balcony, overlooking the river.
The hotel has no elevator (not a problem for us, but if you can't climb stairs well, ask for a room on the lower floor).
Staff is friendly.
Breakfast is very good and includes a wide variety of items.
The hotel also has a private parking area (although the parking lots are very narrow).

Good hotel for visiting nearby cities.

We stayed here for one night and had a peaceful, comfortable night's sleep. The guest house/hotel overlooks the Mosel and the rooms appear to be newly renovated. Our room was spacious and recently decorated and the bathroom seemed new. The restaurant was very busy but we ate in the bar which was very quiet - the food was very good. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is ample free parking at the side of the hotel. The wi-fi only worked in the bar.

Very clean and comfortable

This is first and foremost a restaurant, not a hotel.  There is no reception, as such, you just wait by the side of the bar for someone to be free and I think this accurately reflects their attitude to their guests.  I checked in at 5pm when there were no diners and felt like I had walked into a closed restaurant.  I asked about the bikes they say are available for rent on their website and they had no idea what I was talking about.  Later in the evening I asked about wifi and was made to wait a very long time, standing by the side of the bar until someone was free.  I also had to ask about breakfast times, since no one offered this information, and again was made to feel like I was being demanding.  When my wifi code expired after 24 hours I was initially refused another one as I was told it was still valid.  When I did get another the date was wrong, so it didn't work either.  Not that this mattered, since the wifi only worked when I was on the ground floor, the signal was not strong enough in my room.
I was in a room on the 3rd (top) floor, which was extremely hot and stuffy with no air conditioning.  Since it is right next to a very busy roundabout I was unable to open the window due to the noise.
They have a restaurant and bar which looked very nice, although I did not eat there (I am vegetarian and it looked like largely meat.  I also did not want to spend any more time or money in the hotel).  However, I really came away with the impression that the bar and restaurant is what they really do well and the hotel rooms are an inconvenient way of making a bit more money on the side.
