Drinking coffee on the balcony with superb view of Cochem castle was the highlight of our stay. The room was clean and neat, actually smaller space than in the photos.  
Bathroom was spotless. Plenty of towels provided.
In the tiny kitchen area there are two induction hobs. Complete cutleries were in the drawer, cups and glasses in the cabinet.
Pity there was not enough shelves to put our own stuff. In the morning around 7:30 there was a bit of noise from the streets during garbage collection.

Good for 1 night stay

First of all the place was very good. We booked this place through Booking.com. The owners sent us a message with the code to open the front door. The key with room number was in the hallway. There were quite a few stairs to climb to our attic room, which may not be easy for everybody.
The room was fine and we loved the balcony with  a nice view.
We found the location quite and peaceful, far better then staying in Cochem centre.
They have plenty of private parking spaces and there is a supermarket and bakery around the corner.
After our stay we left the key where we found it and thought it was a nice stay worth 5 points on Tripadvisor.
But the day we left we started getting messages from the owners through Booking.com and through mobile text.
We were still on our weekend break and seen these messages when we arrived in the next place. 
The first message was that the owners wanted our credit card number within 2 hours or our booking would be cancelled ?? Then a message that the owner cancelled our booking ?? And later again a message to ask for our credit card number, which we obviously will not give over the internet. These details are in the hands of the booking site, which we have used for many years without any problems.
Unfortunately this spoilt our weekend break a bit.


Good stay but bad ending

Haus von hoegen has clean well maintained apartments fantastic views from the balcony. My husband and I have stayed here many times over the last 15 years firstly with our two daughters and in recent years as a couple. This a good base for exploring the the Mosel region. 10 minute walk to the town of Cochem. The owner speaks very good English and is very helpful .this is why we keep going back. Roll on next year.

Fantastic place to stay

was impressed by the fact we could arrive at anytime and just pick up the key from the entrance hall with an sms alert for entry code.  Private parking offstreet appreciated, well equipped clean appartment with kitchenette.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. It had a large bathroom and toiletries provided which we found rare on our travels at similar guest houses. It even had a kitchen with a refrigerator which was convenient. It was outside of the main city, but the walk wasn't too bad to walk into the city.
