Lovely, spacious, comfortable room. Very clean. Nicely decorated. Beautiful view of the lake from the wndow. Good location, with an easy walk to the town. Reasonable breakfast. We enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely place to stay

Very good balance between price en service! Hotel is very cheap. Good breakfast and also the rooms are o.k. Don’t expect a five star hotel, but all over everything is good. The rooms are a little bit old style, but it is clean. Also very friendly people in bar/restaurant!!!

Nice hotel in Bad S.......

We made a booking for one night at this hotel with booking.com for a double room on sat. 24th September. We received a confirmed booking from booking.com. We arrived at the hotel at 5pm. The door to the hotel entrance and reception was open because one of the guests was standing just outside smoking and she held it open. We went in to the desk and all was in darkness. We rang the bell on the reception counter a few times, but no one came. We called out and looked around to see if there was an office door or kitchen door so that we could find someone. There were only hotel room doors. By this time the smoking lady guest had returned to her room.
We made a phone call to the hotel and after a very long time the phone was answered by a lady speaking German. I asked if she spoke English. She said no. I attempted to tell her we had a booking at the hotel for tonight. She said "no", the hotel is closed tonight. I said we had a confirmed booking. She said "no", go away and come back tomorrow night". I continued to calmly tell her, that we had a booking for tonight. She then just hung up the phone. We called the number again, twice and the phone just rang out and she would not answer. We walked outside to try and decide what to do. When we tried to go back into reception to sit down and make a call, the door was locked, so we were virtually out on the street!

I had my booking number and PIN number, so called Booking.com. The lady I spoke to was extremely helpful. She told me the procedure in situations like this was that she would try and call the hotel herself and also send an email. I asked if she could call me back after she had done this as my phone was nearly out of credit. She called me right back and said she also could not get the hotel to answer her call. She sent an email and said that she had to give the hotel an hour to respond and if they hadn't she would arrange for us to go to another hotel. She apologised that we had to wait half an hour. 
After the half hour was up, she called us back and said she had not received any response. She gave us the address of a nearby hotel, similar price and she had checked that they had a vacancy. There was a bit of mucking around with the next hotel (not the hotels fault) and there was no answer when we rang the bell. There was a sign that told us to go to another address. We finally found the next address nearby and a very helpful man booked us into a room. The price was similar to what we originally booked (although booking.com said they would reimburse any additional difference in price).
I am writing this report to ask anyone who is considering staying at this hotel to avoid it at all costs. We are a mature couple, who arrived by car. I hate to think what would happen if a young person, or single person using public transport or such would encounter the same problem. What this hotel did was absolutely unacceptable and they should be taken off the booking.com website. I will be contacting booking.com to request they do so.
