The Domhof is an unpretentious but very welcoming little hotel in a perfect location in the delightful small town of Soest. 

An extremely helpful guy at reception moved his own car to allow us to park right next to the side entrance. 

Our room (#4) was clean, relatively spacious, and had a nice view – the bathroom was a bit cramped but did everything required of it. Breakfast was not the usual buffet type, but was perfectly adequate. 

I liked this place, and I would recommend it to anyone but those who need an elevator and/or demand deluxe everything and hot & cold running uniformed flunkies everywhere. This is just a good, honest no-frills establishment, reasonably priced, and with a nice vibe to it.

Sweet hotel in a cute town

I will give it a 9.9/10, not 10/10 because of spotty wi/fi in my room #8 but I think this an easy fix. Great restaurant and my breakfast was included in the room rate. 100 m from the duck pond and old mill.

Great place in downtown Soest

You can't fault the location of this hotel. It's almost in the centre of the city and within easy walking distance of everything. Meals at the hotel are excellent. The overall atmosphere of the place is friendly. Recommended.

Great location ad atmosphere

This Hotel, more of a Pub with Rooms, is located on the East Side of Wiesenstraße; not far from Große Teich Lake in the North-East Quarter of the Altstadt. It is therefore conveniently located. There is a Public Car Park nearby at the Lake and a smaller one further up Wiesenstraße beyond the Marienkrankenhaus Hospital. There are very few spaces directly in front of the Hotel in the Street.

The Rooms vary in size, but are nicely furnished. Breakfast is included and served at the Table at a pre-agreed time. It is basic, but generous including a boiled egg and hot bread rolls. Payment is on arrival. Free WiFi is available. There is a separate entrance to the Rooms on the side of the Building, so it is not necessary to pass through the Restaurant once keys have been collected.

The proximity of the local Churches means the Bells will be heard in the Rooms when they are rung.

Centrally Located Pub with Rooms

I stayed at this hotel for three night. The room is big and with two beds that is enough for two people. The WiFi is not good and it seems they regulate the Electricity in the which cannot charged my phone and Tablet day break. The breakfast is not buffet. Room service was good because they clean it everyday which is very good.

Hotel in old city

Recently completed a multi continent motorcycle trip. Soest was the first night and we stayed at the Hotel Domhof. First off this is a very nice hotel. Comfortable and good for what we wanted. It was quiet, clean and affordable. It is also in the middle of a fairy tail city in old Germany. Short walk and you are in old stone shops and restaurants. 

One word of advise is that the town shuts down on Mondays. Even though we reserved, there was nobody at the hotel when we arrived. We had to phone the owner and he came over (some time later) to open up. All part of the deal when you are Adventure Touring, but some might not appreciate it.
