Family hotel, friendly staff. Hotel is located in a residential area, parking spaces right in front of the door and free of charge. Rooms are clean, conveniently furnished and above all without carpet (allergic)

Practical rooms without carpet

A visit to the Hotel Gellermann in Soest is always worth it. You live in beautiful rooms that have everything you need for a pleasant stay. The kitchen is excellent. The staff is extremely hospitable and friendly. You feel comfortable around there. It's fun to be a guest in this hotel!!

Short vacation

The family business is located in a very friendly residential area. The entrance area is bright and inviting. The rooms are located partly in a garden or slightly worn out in the main house. They are equipped with bright colors and good comfort, according to the standard. The restaurant is also visited by guests who do not live in the house. The menu is not huge, the quality is very good. Similarly, the breakfast buffet was shown, on request fresh egg dishes (fried eggs) are prepared. If you want to explore the city centre, it takes about 20 minutes to walk there. The old town is surprised by many spectacular places and is certainly worth a visit even without a city festival/Christmas market.

On the edge of the old town

We were at the Christmas market in Soest over the weekend and we stayed and ate at the Hotel  Gellermann. The reception was very nice and friendly and the room was okay 👌, although there was no closet and in the bathroom drops of water from the exhaust pipe but the staff balanced it all back. The food  at the restaurant was very tasty 😋 and is recommended. Special requests were also taken into account without any problems and the kitchen still let a small greeting be served. All in all to recommend.

The Christmas market

A friendly reception made us come down to the reception immediately after a long day's work. The rooms are not particularly large, but practical and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful, helping an uncertain person, as I have done before in the selection of dinner, very well. The breakfast met my expectations and motivated me to stay for half an hour longer than usual.

Family

Only the restaurant is evaluated here, not the hotel: the menu is not as full as in many restaurants, for this all the food is very tasty and quite good quality. The prices are reasonable. Cutlery, Rumpsteak, but also Zanderfilet or noodles - there is something for everyone. The service is always attentive and friendly. We come again and again and are never disappointed.

This hotel is family run and looks very nice. The rooms are quite big.
For a drink or dinner there is a restaurant run by the family. Food is very good and reasonable priced. Breakfast is available and very good.

Very spacious rooms and nice staff

A comfortable bed, a Nordic blanket (narrow and short as in many hotels in Germany) and the heating system floja. A very helpful girl offered us tomato soup on our arrival that although we had warned that it would be late and we would need dinner, we were left with nothing more than tomato soup and beer.

Hotel without pretenses,

We booked our room direct with the Hotel in order to break our journey from the east of Germany to Rotterdam on Friday 13th March 2015 - not the best day to to take a chance on accommodation you have not visited before.  The Hotel was only a short distance from the Autobahn and located in a quiet area, with good parking.  On approaching the reception desk, my Wife and I had the warmest greeting we have ever had from a Receptionist.

When we got to our room we were delighted, so clean and spacious with a beautiful en-suite.  The room number was number ? - No I am keeping that a secret.

What amazed us whilst we were in the Restaurant was to see a party of 50 plus arrive and we knew, from experience, that every person would be wanting an individual bill.  What a nightmare for the waitresses.

Really excellent Hotel and we will be booking Room number ?, no that is a secret, for our next trip in June.

A very warm welcome

We stayed at this hotel with some other coleagues at work. We arrived late and the very gentle staff managed to serve us an excellent meal and making us feel like at home. Very servicial and gentle. Rooms are basic but confortable. Recommendable but a little far from the city centre.
