We stayed here for 2 nights in januar and we had the most cozy stay. The staff at the hotel welcomed us in the best and very attentive way, our room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was really great and we enjoyed sitting inside in the dinningroom eating while looking out on the rainy and stormy weather. The hotel has a good location close to the path through the small forrest to the sea. We would love to come back to St. Peter-Ording another time and we would definately stay here again.

The most cozy hotel with friendly staff

Travelling with family we stayed at Kathmeyer's for a week to enjoy SPO and experience the German North-sea. Our teenage girls stayed in a lovely room underneath the roof. (It was warm, but the week was one of the hottest for years...) We enjoyed a room at the ground floor with "our Strandkorb" outside. The bathrooms are not very big but well equipped and clean - no problem if you use them alone. The breakfast is really great, with a well assorted buffet (try the different fish specialities and the lovely cheese plater!) The friendly and attentive ladies serving tea and coffee knew our preferred drinks already on the second day. The terrace with a view (old trees and lovely ponies) invites to stay longer. So does the cosy library, we unfortunately hardly enjoyed due to the great weather. All this, the self serving bar (great to find confidence nowadays) and the map with Restaurants nearby, we received when we arrived, made us feel "at home". A little walk through the forest and you're "down town" and only a couple of meters away from the wooden pier.

Relaxed & easy going - at its finest

This hotel is just perfect, a diamond in St.Peter-Ording.
We've stayed there several times already, and always felt welcomed and kind of a family member.
The staff is very friendly, the rooms are comfortably furnished, oh and the bed is soooo comfy! We always sleep like babies there.
The hotel has breakfast only - but what a breakfast! It's super delicious and you can spend the whole morning in this cosy breakfast room.

The hotel has a lounge with a fireplace, and also lots of books and DVDs you can borrow, when you haven't brought your own. They also provide wine, snacks, ice cream, and coffee. You just enter your name in a list and pay everything at checkout.

From the hotel it's just a 10-minutes walk to the centre of St.Peter-Ording with several nice restaurants and cafés.

Home sweet home

This is without doubt the best hotel I have been on this trip. Very friendly people, the room is nice, the bathroom perfectly clean. My bed was very comfortable!
Breakfast has good variety and quality.
There is a lockable room for bikes. 
There are books (from Goethe to Harry Potter and also many travel guides) and DVDs to lend.
Also there are snacks and drinks (softdrinks/beer) to take.

Just perfect

We have stayed for one night at Kathmeyer's Landhaus at the beginning of September and we really liked the place. The rooms are spacious and the staff is really friendly. Very good breakfast and a lovely and peaceful location overall. 
The only thing is that I wish the internet was for free.

Good hotel, very nice staff

Stayed there with family. Had a beautiful room on the ground floor, with a patio and our own beach chair. Which we couldn't use much because of cold weather, but that's a different story.

From the first minute we felt very welcome. The staff greeted us as if the hotel was hers. In fact, the place is run by 2 brothers. They are there and looked after us and tended to all our needs. All staff are like friends. Yet there is all the peace and privacy of a countryside hotel.

The whole place is very modern. There are DVD players in the room, all flatscreen TVs, WiFi in the library. Internet access in all of St. Peter Ording (from the hotel and via mobile devices) is very poor and slow. But maybe this helps to cut back on trying to access work stuff. I did some work in the evenings in the library where there is an exceptional selection of good and very good books and DVDs, plus a well-stocked honesty bar.

The hotel has a big backyard with lots of greenery, deckchairs, and some horses and sheep to watch in the neighborhood when taking the eyes off your book.

We liked the location very much. We did not have a car, and we did not need one. There is a small path through some small forest which leads to the train station. From there we went by train to nearby places like a marine life museum, the pier for seal-watching tours, etc. 

Just a few hundred meters further, its actually a convenient stroll through the cool forest on a hot summer day, is the center of town with restaurants, some cool hotel bars, cafes, ATMs, shops, etc. Even to the beach we always went on foot, or took the convenient and free! bus service from the train station.

All said, we loved it there!
