We hd an excellent stay in this family run hotel with restaurant. The food was very good and fresh, really excellent. The waitress spoke good English and had a lot of patience in explaining the dishes. The room was silent, good beds and very spacious. The breakfast was included and really good. We would definitely book here again.

Very good food, spacious rooms and friendly family

We only had one night at Badischer HOf in Tauberbischofsheim, which was a pity as we didn't get to explore the town very much. However, we arrived on Friday night of the annual Altstadt Festival which was so much fun (first weekend in July).
The hotel was gorgeous, with very comfortable rooms and quaint furnishings. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We arrived a bit late but they went out of their way to make us welcome and to direct us to the festival and show us the hotel. When we checked out the next morning we were given travel packs of Gummy Bears for our children with a long drive ahead. 
Definitely recommend this hotel and particularly the friendly family who run it.

Wonderful stay

Interesting establishment. Being a small town, they have adapted and offer several business ventures to locals and visitors....guest house, restaurant, beer garden and a movie theatre!

We stayed a couple of nights here. Family run inn. Helpful and pleasant. Breakfast is included. Close to the old part of town.

Decent place to stay close to old town

We were not aware until we arrived that the hotel was hosting a wedding party. We did at least manage to get a parking space, despite the best efforts of others to bag parking spaces.

The wedding party meant there was no bar service and no restaurant. So it was off into town to search out suitable locations. The town is about as exciting as the hotel, dull and in need of a complete refurbishment.

Breakfast was dull an uninspiring. 

Adequate but horribly dull

Its a nice place for a couple of nights close to the city center where you have a couple good restaurants. Also is close to the train station and to the main industrial area in town. The rooms are comfy and quaint furnishings, keeping the old style nicely run by friendly people.The breakfast is simple continental, not too much choices but enough. They have a beer garden outside in the courtyard and choices of local beer .Parking lot for about 12 cars is safe, being in the interior court.

Medieval style in a small town

Not a great experience to be honest, we arrived to find the owner/manager berating guests for sitting in the reserved area of the beer garden although another member of staff had sat them there. While we watched the spectacle a couple of our group of nine (5 rooms) went to check in to find they had no record of our reservation although we could show phone and email records of our correspondence! After about 15 minutes we were given five rooms although I had already seen on booking.com straight away that they had at least 5 rooms available. It seemed all the rooms were the worst 5 available except mine which was rather nice! Breakfast was served at the table because of covid 19 but again the mood of lady in charge had not seemed to have changed much. Checking out was slow and painful as the lady was working breakfast and reception and as such long lines for both were the result.
