Friendly, good food, always at the ball, very trying to keep the hotel up-to-date, just good environment suits the hotel, if it's going to be a little later in the evening they stay at the ball, very trying to make it all right

Authentic

We've been to the steam mill hotel's restaurant several times, and the food is very tasty, friendly, and there's a cozy atmosphere in the gas chamber.

Flavors of food

On the wine-deprived terrace, we enjoyed exquisite food from the excellent cuisine, which also sent a delicious greeting. Everything was perfect! Very friendly service, competent service.

Great food.

We would be mediating, as all the other hotels were busy and arrived extremely skeptical. We would quickly learn a better one. The rooms are spacious and well maintained, the bed is pleasantly soft and the bathroom is clean. The staff is hard-working and friendly and the food is very good, even for vegetarians! Breakfast in buffet form is perfectly fine! Not far from Jacob's Road with a nice way to the hotel. Glad to be back!!

...it's a surprise at least!

The hotel was a stopover for us during a walk on the mosel staircase. A very nice owner there, very concerned about the well-being of the guests. The rooms are relatively large, but simple set up. The bathroom was quite small, so was the shower, for that all picobello clean. Food around the restaurant was really good, good choice of dishes. The price/performance ratio was really good, both food and overnight.

You feel very well taken care of there.

We stayed elsewhere, but we were at the steam mill for dinner. It was just delicious, so good we rarely ate. No snacks, honest craftsmanship for it. It tasted like it used to be at Grandma's. Full score. The service was a little handicapped, but very friendly and fit very well into this house. We'd love to come back!

What’s better at the end of the day than a nice place to relax, have a glass to toast with, and a good dinner? This is the place. While in an awkward location at the edge of town away from the main road, this is a great place. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but you can sit outside under a covered veranda with a grapevine trellises and enjoy the evening along a little creek and adjacent forested hill. 
The menu provides many main staple German options although the vegetarian dishes are limited but yummy. The wine list offers numerous options from local vineyards that grace the surrounding hills in the area. I opted for a classic Asbach and coke and had to laugh when the waitress told me that this choice shows my age - apparently it’s not a common drink anymore though I think it’s still fabulous. Speaking of the waitress- she was great. You can’t go wrong with this one. Off the beaten path but a hidden gem.

Hidden Gem

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and with a really good mattress. The way to the room was a bit of a maze, so we had to keep thinking about where to turn. There is an outdoor terrace and a pool in the garden, both of which we couldn't use in October. The breakfast was rich and very good. The WLAN didn't work in the room. We also liked the flexibility in cancelling, because we didn't know if we could make the trip until the last day. The owner was very kind.

Friendly and flexible

A nice hotel in a quiet setting. Located off the main road through the Mosel Valley, Hotel Dampfmühle avoids the traffic for a relaxing stay.  The rooms are very clean although a little dated.  The morning breakfast selection was limited but adequate. The best reason to stay at Hotel Dampfmühle is the charming hostess who make the place inviting. 

Quiet and relaxing.

We've stayed there many times and we're still very good in it. Big room very clean. Beautiful covered terrace. Good restaurant. The owners are very nice. Our little Chihuahua accepted us the last time we stayed.
