We very much enjoyed our stay in the midst of vineyards in a side valley above Enkirch. Although quite full with guests the atmosphere was tranquil, service excellent and dinner plentiful and well prepared. Best of all is the buffet breakfast with local cold cuts and wonderful homemade jams.
There are nice corners where one can sit and talk, enjoy a bottle of wine, or plan the itinerary for next day's hike. The location is perfect for exploring the Moselle valley, with plenty of nature trails, spectacular vistas, and of course a very large number of vineyards that beckon to be visited.

Very pleasant family-run hotel

We stayed at this lovely family run hotel towards the end of August. It is situated above the small town of Enkirch along the Mosel river in a beautiful setting with vineyards running up the hills surrounding the Hotel. The Husband and Wife owners spoke fluent English as did the dining room staff and they all welcomed us warmly which made us feel very much at home. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean as is the whole hotel. The dining rooms are quite large and were full in the evening with the hotel guests as there is no other restaurants with in walking distance. The meals are a full four courses and were delicious as was the breakfast in the morning. There is also a bar. A good sized modern elevator to reach the upper floors is available and parking was plentiful (and free). Currently there is no WiFi but is scheduled for installation in the coming months. There is PC located in the reception area that was available for use. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone lucky enough to travel in one of the most beautiful regions of Germany, the Mosel river valley.
