Hotel - Zum goldenen Stern 

I stayed at Zum Goldenen Stern with my partner for two nights. All in all, I am really impressed. Sure, the furniture was rather old and the bathroom was tiny, but everything worked and I could tell that the owners had put some real effort into renovating both houses in an appealing and cute style. The breakfast buffet offered a selection of breads, cake, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit and vegetable, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt and cereal. It was a lot better than I had expected. The service was personal and friendly. I would like to mention that we misunderstood the info we got on the first day and turned up late for our dinner one night. They reopened the kitchen especially for us and made us dinner regardless. Of course they also had some great advice about where to hike, etc. and helped us out with a hiking and biking map. What you should know before booking: - Bring a car; you really don't want to rely on public transport or taxis in the country. - The hotel offers wifi only in the public areas. On such a tight budget, don't expect luxury - and you will be surprised how much value you get! I would not hesitate to recommend short stays in this hotel.
