Located in the small, charming village of Ürzig, conveniently between Bernkastel and Trabach (both about 15 min by car). Be aware that his part of the Moselle is dominated by a big motorway bridge cross the river. Restaurant options in Ürzig are very limited.
Hotel rooms are clean, but lacking charm and have only basic amenities. Rooms to the back are supposed to have vineyard view, but you are only looking at a photo (!) of a vineyard that’s has been mounted to a nearby building blocking the view. Beds are comfortable 
Breakfast is quite basic - limited bread selection, cheese, cold meats and some jam. Coffee is premade and sitting in a thermos.
Staff is professional and efficient.
Restaurant is offering the standard German fare (think schnitzel with fries) in ok quality, but the house wines are sub-standard for the region.
Free parking in front of the door. Free WiFi, fast and relatively reliable

Ok place to sleep, but no charm

At this lovely, comfortable family run hotel you will enjoy real personal attention from the owners.  Our room was very large and well appointed--extremely comfortable bed, large modern bathroom, great fast wi-fi, lots of room to spread out, and a bonus view of the Mosel and the quaint town of Cochem.  Our breakfast, included with the room ,was sumptuous.  Our host was happy to accommodate our request for breakfast a little earlier that usual. This was a great value---accommodations  that you would normally find in a much higher priced hotel.  We highly recommend Hotel Zehnthof

Wonderful hotel on the banks of the beautiful Mosel river

This is where you can relax and have a nice time. As soon as your car dives from the rim of the river gorge it is as if time slows down and your mind can relax.

The hotel is a standard hotel for the region. The rooms are fine and clean. Not too spacey, but just enough for being there. You'll probably spend more time on the "terrasse" enjoying a fresh glass of cold Mosel wine.

The menu offered is classic German food and is well prepared.

The staff friendly, helpful and professional.

So just relax and let the time fly at its own pace here for a few days.

Lovely and peaceful hotel

Lovely hotel beautiful setting over looking the river Mosel, staff very welcoming and helpful, room lovely and comfortable very clean nice balcony view, the restaurant menu only in German but staff very helpful with translation food very good, breakfast buffet style typical German style buffet only draw back lots of flys buzzing around 

Austria road trip 2014 

Ürzig is one of my favourite villages on the Mosel river, not as large as the bustling Cochem, not as touristy as nearby Bernkastel-Keus on the other side, in fact it’s not touristy at all.

And neither is the Hotel Zehnthof, situated right on the river bank. It’s authentic Germany, from the continental quilts to the wooden floors to the breakfast and dinner menus. A really good place to stay.

Good hotel, good location

We spent one night at the Hotel Zehntof in late October.  The property is along the Mosel River and our comfortable room overlooked it.  The staff was very accommodating - helped me with the hotel code for wi-fi and carried my heavy bag up to our second floor room.  We did not eat dinner at their restaurant but the breakfast was one of the best ever.  Aside from all the usual breads, cheese, meats, cereals, fruit and yogurt, there were freshly-prepared scrambled eggs with ham and local prosciutto and delicious smoked trout.  Urzig is a tiny town at the foot of steep vineyards.  There's not much going on, but there are several wonderful vineyards to visit.
