Warm Host Family

The hostess welcomes the visitor with a lot of charm and attention to detail and takes care of the guests personally in the evening and in the morning. The hotel is affordable and also well suited for families. The restaurant is excellent.

A lovely hotel.

A nice, comfortable place to stop near Gunzberg (Legoland). The property consists of the main guesthouse and also an adjacent guesthouse - so there is plenty of space. The rooms are comfortable and quite large. There are no tea and coffee cooks in the rooms. The breakfast buffet is good, and the host also offered guests mirror dishes or chicken (instead of the cooked eggs from the buffet). The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful family-run inn

A lovely comfortable place to stop over, close to Gunzberg (Legoland). The property consists of the main Inn and also an adjoining guest house - so there is plenty of space. The rooms are comfortable and quite large. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. The buffet breakfast is good and the host also asked guests if they preferred fried or scrambled eggs (instead of the boiled eggs in the buffet. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful, family run Gasthof

Superb welcome, charming room in a nice quiet village, impeccable cleanliness, excellent beds, a varied and pleasant lunch, a traditional dinner in the shade of a terrace, excellent, worth a little detour.

At the top

Having to go to Legoland with our family, we decided, through a booking site, for this Gasthof. Being used, for work and for holidays, to hotels of international chains, it was a bit of a bet. Instead it was a pleasant surprise. We slept two nights, very well and had dinner twice. The room was clean and spacious. Quiet and comfortable. Dinner was good. Tasteful dishes and a decent choice (except wurstel and stinco). A little to improve the beers.

Pleasant

As many of us have probably stayed overnight here to visit the nearby Legoland the next day. Our stay here was very pleasant. Starting at the parking lot in front of the door, the friendly reception, the good food, the clean and comfortable rooms, the breakfast buffet, we were very satisfied and happy to come back.

Exceeding expectations

I stayed two nights with my family in this property a few miles from Legoland, the location is very quiet, but very quiet. The rooms are clean and equipped with excellent Wi-Fi. Breakfast is abundant and dinner is typical. The difference is the great courtesy of the owner. I recommend it to everyone.

On the occasion of a visit to Ulm and the surrounding area, we booked the hotel for 3 nights. The reception was very friendly and helpful. The double room with a small kitchen is large and clean, as well as the well-equipped bathroom (bakery, care products). A very nice breakfast with everything the heart desires. To this there were many useful tips from the boss and staff. A good home kitchen, delicious and fresh. In any case, an insider tip for a good and also affordable accommodation.

A wonderful stay in a friendly environment

On our way back home after a vacation in Austria we decided to spend our last vacation day at Legoland Germany.  Gasthof zum Ochsen is only 10 minutes away from this amusement park and highway so an ideal stopover.
When arriving you are super friendly welcomed by the lady of the house.  Also the kids get their personal welcome.
We had the family room which is located in the guest house.   The family room are actually two separate rooms, each with their own bathroom, but which share an entrance hall.  The entrance door of this hall acts as the family room door.  Nicely done.
Rooms, and certainly the bathrooms, are very clean.  Beds provide you a very good sleep.  We were a bit unlucky as the neighbors decided to have a garden party till 3.00 AM. Unfortunately this was out of the control of the lady of the house. She excuses her the next morning for her neighbours.  
Breakfast provides you plenty of choice with fresh products.  
You can’t pay by credit card, but Maestro is accepted.
Certainly a recommended address.  I even would make a small detour and make sure I can have another stopover here.
