Many of those who are travelling by bicycle stay at this place. Two room apartments are fairly equipped. Staff is nice and flexible. Breakfast is optional. Most site attractions are in a walking distance.

Fair accomodation

My wife and I recently stopped at this establishment during our roadtrip around North & East Germany. We arrived early and were met by staff in the reception who were very friendly and allocated us our room immediately. Parking in our case was directly outside our room and there is also a large car park across the way.

Our room, which was across from the main hotel building, was fairly large but we at once found that one of our two pillows did not have a pillowcase and secondly that there were items from a previous guest(s) left in the fridge. These matters were remedied straight away by staff when brought to their attention however it was not a good start.

Although the official photographs of the hotel are fairly accurate, what you do not see are the very nearby railway lines which during our stay were also being utilised throughout the night! Also, to get into the town one either has to cross a busy road or take the underpass. That said it is only a short distance into the town. Wi-Fi was good.

We ate in the hotel restaurant on our first evening. Whilst the service was good, the food was fairly average. As one would expect the beer was good and it should be noted that the place was very busy with German customers both eating and drinking.

Breakfast was taken in the main building and in truth was fairly basic.

Waren and the surrounding area of The Muritz National Park are truly lovely and should not be overlooked. The town itself is very pretty particularly around the harbour area. We would recommend the Weisse Boat trip around the harbour which lasts about 2 hours although the commentary unsurprisingly is all in German. Because of the lack of English please be aware that there are some very low bridges to negotiate during the trip. But well worth the effort.

What we would not recommend at all is the Tusch Tusch Small Train ride around the town. A total waste of 8 Euros each to see nothing really of any particular interest!

For coffee & cake have a look at Dat Tortenhaus. It's a lovely space and the cakes are to die for. Good coffee.

Whereas we would return to this area, we would not stay at the same hotel.
