We had a room for 6 persons, for the 2 of us. The view is amazing. Location is quiet. Breakfast is diverse. The personnel is not always there before/after breakfast but that's okay. And the instructions for getting your room key are solid/easy. This might be weird to some, but we didn't had any problems with it. Enough places in the area to get dinner. But it can be expensive, we enjoyed our food in the Bodolzer Dorfstüble. Upfront a view over the Bodensee. At the start of the week we had a hotel on the island of Lindau, and this was an enjoyable different stay in Wasserburg

Nice location with great view for a great price

We were a family of five and stayed in a room with six bunks and a bathroom. The hostel was cheaper than other properties I looked at when choosing a place to stay and closer to the lake.

I was very pleased with the hostel. It was clean and comfortable with excellent breakfast. We took a car and there is enough free parking around the hostel for all guests. There is also bicycle parking. We were given free transport passes which we didn't use because of the car, which seemed a waste. The bus stop is very close to the hotel but I am not sure how frequent the buses are.

The hostel has no lounge or bar open which is a shame. There are one or two restaurants in walking distance (I highly recommend Lindenhof Strand Café) but otherwise you need to travel for meals in the daytime and evening. Lindau and Bregenz are all accessible by car and bike and have a lot of choice.

The hostel is in a very quiet area which makes for a peaceful holiday. 

Good base for a Bodensee holiday

We stayed here for one night whilst biking the Ev15.  The room was basic but clean and adequate, all  that was needed for an overnight stay.  We were disappointed that the bar didn’t seem to be open and we did not want to bike back to Lindau.

The bikes were stored in a garage overnight but you need to lock them.

Breakfast, whilst fairly basic was adequate for our needs.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Disappointingly the WIFI was terrible and at times we couldn’t get any at all.  Now days good WIFI is essential.
