Unfathomable service, as you almost know nothing, we are the chefs. Tellers of 2 customers were dropped off, where the third person was still at the meal. Wrong attachment, despite the correct order. Was also corrected. Guest asks which liver, calf or pig, waiter (very likely owner) they see, it is at the top of the menu, from the calf. And so on. Food was normally good, but at Swiss women's prices. The customer I invited was more often in the vineyard, so her desire to eat there.

Beautiful hostel, still a lot of air up

On our vacation we stopped in Basel and stepped over the vineyard in search of a good restaurant in Haltingen. What a good luck, because after a really delicious dinner (compliment to the chef and his team!) we decided to book a night for the return trip. The hotel room is simple, picobello clean and quiet even with the windows open. We slept well. Even the breakfast left no wishes. Thanks to the entire hotel team. P.S. : The Veggie Burger is the top hammer!!!

A small god in a wonderful environment

Hotel is in a quiet location in Haltingen, near Weil; rooms are large; beds are narrow and the shower is small; a socket at the bed is missing; facilities are good, rooms are very clean, friendly service, parking reservation is recommended on evening arrival; Covid rules are well implemented.

Good Accommodation

My room was very rustically furnished with bright wooden furniture. The bed was equipped with a very good mattress, I slept well. The bathroom was small and very nice with a round shower. Everything was very lovingly furnished in detail. The reception was very warm and the breakfast buffet varied. I can also recommend the restaurant.

A very beautiful country inn

We used the hotel for a stop over after our long motor trip from Holland to the south border of Germany. Since we the weather was quite warm we decided to book a hotel with airco. 
Hotel staff was very friendly. Hotel has a spacious parking place, so easy to park our motors.
Rooms were nice and tide. The breakfast excellent.

We can really recommend the Rebstock Hotel/Restaurant with a good conscience! The hotel is run according to a family business with a personal touch and friendliness. The owners give every guest a sense of at home, so that you feel really comfortable. The restaurant has a wonderful wide and seasonal current menu. The food is excellent prepared and the service is at the level of a top hotel. A la bonne heure! We are happy to come back!

Exhibition stay

Our drive from Rome took us a bit longer than we expected, so we were in need of an hotel when we crossed the border at Basel, Switzerland. The navigation actually decided for us, because the Rebstock was the closest Gasthaus. The moment we walked in through the restaurant, we noticed it was packed. With some tredipation we asked for a room and we weren't disappointed. Without any pre amble, the lady behind the counter noticed our exhausted fases and was all business. She handed us the key, gave two vouchers for the wifi, asked if we needed diner too and told us how to get to the room. We were on the first floor, in a hall way with five rooms. There have to be other rooms too one floor up. Diner was really very good. The menu was traditional German, with a Swiss touch. We loved it, but were too tired to really enjoy the great food. The beds were comfy, the minibar was filled, pricelist was beside it. We made several trips to Rome and wished we had found this hotel sooner. It was a treat. The breakfast was truly extensive. Freshly baked bread, several jams, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, yoghurt, eggs. Parking was free on the hotel grounds.

Perfect for an overnight stay on your way to or from Italy

We have been staying in this hotel about twice a year for at least five years and have never been disappointed either in the friendliness of the owners and the staff as well as the exceptionally good meals. The rooms are very well kept and offer all the usual amenities both for holiday makers as well as business travellers. We can fully recommend this hotel in a quiet part of Haltingen close to the Swiss border near Weill am Rhein.

Ideal stopover and excellent restaurant

A warm welcome, nice and clean room, a nice, rustic setting, but it's a hotel, a nice restaurant with a nice kitchen, and a wonderful night's sleep.

Small but fine

Very close to Basel but in Germany so relatively cheap. Far enough from highway to be in a quiet spot. Very clean rooms and great food. Outdoor terrace where you can eat if weather allows. 

Kids loved the chicken nuggets which are made of actual chicken pieces, not the deep frozen garbage. Staff friendly.
