A good position right in the middle of town, very near the famous basilica. a good room with a comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, a good dinner, an excellent breakfast, helpful people…. It couldn't have been better.

If you're coming by train, it's best to get off at Ravensburg station and get a bus or a taxi the four or five remaining kilometres to Weingarten. There is a station at Weingarten, but it's very small and most trains don't stop there.

Ideal

The Baeren is located in the centre of town with its own (but limited) parking. We stayed one night en route to Italy. We had booked a double room but there were three beds in the room, two forming a double. When we checked out in the morning, the bill was discounted (quite unprompted by us) because it wasn't considered to be a proper double room, although it was fine for us. The en suite facilities (shower but no bath) were good.

We had a pleasant & reasonably priced meal in the restaurant which appeared to be occupied by locals rather than tourists.

Service was excellent, good location, pleasant ambience and reasonably priced (Euros 111 incl our dinner and drinks). You can't ask for much more on a one night stay.

Good value and service

The room was absolutely beautiful roomy and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant at hotel was one of the better places we ate. Breakfast was included and very fresh and traditional. The location is a bit of a walk to the lake down a very steep hill but close to historic sites.

Lovely and perfect

This pleasant guesthouse is located in the centre of Weingarten just below the Basilica and in walking distance to the shops. The rooms were spacious and very clean and the bathrooms well equipped. Wifi was excellent and included. Breakfast included in the price and very pleasant. The Hotel also has a restaurant serving local delicacies which was very pleasant and reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful with luggage assistance and taxi bookings and made all guests feel welcome. Would stay again when next in town.

Lovely family run guesthouse in central location

I only stayed one night in this hotel but I had a very good feeling : the rooms are very clean, the staff is kind, friendly and helpfull. The location of the hotel is fine.
Restaurant is also very good, with local specialities.

Lastly, they serve one of the best breakfast I ever had at hotel, even in far more luxurious hotels !! Not so big choice but the quality of product was exceptionnal.

I would have rated "excellent" if the quality of the mattress had been better...
