Due to the good reviews and the repeatedly mentioned excellent breakfast, I booked the Hotel Hamm in the forward city for my stopover in Switzerland. Disappointed, I had to find that it had so much to do with the good reviews. Upon arrival I was told that there was NO breakfast on holidays and weekends, especially since I was the only guest...!? My arrival date was January 6, 2023 and at the reservation was NOT indicated! The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, but the search it gave itself as very tricky: 1-2 takeaways Tewi's in the nearby area, for a restaurant respurb back in the railway station.

Interim stop from northern Germany to Switzerland

Nice hotel, neat, clean, gentle and polite staff, renovated, spacious and quiet rooms, comfortable location, rich and varied breakfast, spacious parking, if I return to the area, I'll definitely be back!

This is a nice hotel.

The rooms are well equipped, breakfast is excellent, typical of butchers, the rooms are well equipped, the reception was very friendly, the location in the centre of the Rhine-Main area is ideal, there are also double and single rooms.

Central and cheap

I stopped for a night on my way north. This hotel is all new, comfortable and nice. I had a single room at the 2nd floor. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. There is nothing in the little suburb where this hotel is located but it’s close to the motorway. Parking is just behind the building in their private court. Good for a cheap place to stay.


Good stopover.

A hotel without an elevator! We were staying on the second floor. There's a coffee machine at the reception and you can get out a variety of coffees for 1 €. The breakfast was nothing special, there was only filter coffee. Many mountaineers stayed here. The reception was friendly and he gave a great food tip for Dubrovnic.

Top position and quiet

A friend and I stayed here for 6 nights whilst visiting other friends in Weiterstadt. The hotel was clean and light and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and the bathroom modern and spacious with a walk in shower. Seeing other reviews, we were on the second floor and wifi in our room was good. Yes, the beds are squeaky and the pillows thin but, as the brochure says, it is possible to ask for extra pillows which we did. We also asked for a summer weight duvet for one of the beds and were given that. We only had breakfast on two days but it was lovely and a good variety. We certainly would stay there again and it was very good value for money. Local transport is good - bus and train within walking distance.

A really enjoyable stay

Large group of close family friends from Goldstein/Ffm accomodated a good portion of the hotel rooms as we were all invited to a wedding ( Verena & Mathias ). Free parking is available , from there you go straight to the reception desk. With a friendly greeting we were asked politely if we could pay ' up front ' in stead of the following morning after breakfast. We were given a room on the second floor, you have to take the staircase as there is no elevator. We were lucky that our room had been completed by housekeeping as most of the others weren't finished so early in the day. The room was clean and spacious , coffee maker, flat screen tv, free wi-fi, coat hangers , two small bottles of water ( no bottle opener! ) but no air-con. The bathroom had been rebuilt to a high spec, modern walk in shower etc. We found the pillows completely useless - far too soft, no support at all and we were not the only ones that thought the same. Others complained about the noisy,squeeky beds/matresses and even though the windows had mosquito nets lots of rooms seemed to have problems keeping the little beggars out!!! So many of our friends were bitten during the night. Even the reception desk agreed that they had a problem with the insects, i think it might be related to ' fertiliser spreading ' in the nearby vicinity as we could smell the like as we were outside in the car park. The breakfast room was bright with adequate seating. There is a very good choice of breads, cheeses, cold cuts, fresh fruit salad and joghurts, fruit juice, boiled and scrambled eggs, and much more. The hotel is ideal for an overnight stay like we did, the staff are friendly and the rooms are clean, no complaints about the breakfast.

Friends got married nearby so the location and price was acceptable, good breakfast, friendly staff.

We choose this hotel because it was literally within walking distance from my friend's home.
I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised as Weiterstadt is a very small village.
The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower actually had hot water or a long shower.
There are steep stairs leading to the rooms and no elevator if mobility is an issue.
They also serve breakfast, but I can't speak to the quality since we left early.
The staff the day we were there spoke English well enough to communicate.
There's also free parking.

Convenient and clean

We came down here spontaneously, and for the price, the hotel was fine. Everything was a little older, the breakfast was enough, but not special, the beds were good. Everything was clean and then very friendly staff.

Solids

The rooms have been in use for years. Some of them are still hotel-operated, while others are being renovated. Despite everything, there was a very nice reception and very friendly staff throughout. The breakfast was very clear, but still sufficient. The hotel has enough parking space, as there is also a low-floor garage.
