The reception by three Asian women was very strange. Helpless. Was ignored. Until they asked for the reception... dinner at night was only buffet-style - no way to order a snack (soup or dessert). Asian waitress was unwilling to help, could not pass on questions. Staff in the morning were ok, choice was poor at cereal. Fruit salad was all at 8.30, although breakfast was until 10.

There's more to it.

The hotel is located directly on a lock. From the large terrace you can have a direct view of the boats passing by, shade is provided. So you can make the day sound nice in good weather. During our stay we were offered a buffet for dinner in the evening. Since our little boy, three years old, is somewhat picky when eating, but he still got an extra portion of potatoes. For the adults there was in any case enough choice. The same goes for the breakfast, it was everything you normally needed, the rooms were all there, some extras. We were very satisfied. We were very newly installed, the window was a thank-you restaurant, so the view was calm. The hotel was located in a very nice morning after the river Rhine, or we had a nice room for the rest of the time.

It's a very short time.

When we move to the half-empty restaurant 10 minutes later, we will be sitting for the next 30 minutes. When the senior manager says, You can talk about luck that we have not rented your rooms any more, arrival is at 6 p.m., neither a welcome nor a greeting is reflected in the guest culture. We ask after dinner. Yes, but 8:30 p.m. is kitchen closing, so you have to hurry up. That's what we do. When we move to the half-empty restaurant 10 minutes later, we'll just sit down for the next 30 minutes.

Hotel, rooms, etc. Very decent environment, poor service

We were at the hotel from 1 to 13 September and wanted to give the following rating: rooms: very good, clean, it was always very nice to have the towels draped on the bed by a staff member. Breakfast buffet: selection very good, but there were several times when the staff had already cleared the table, although the guests had only been getting something from the buffet. We observed this three times during our stay. Staff's credibility in the hotel: We were at the hotel for several days, it was a very impersonal atmosphere, two staff members in the service did not talk to us.

Holidays at the Lion Hotel

I came from a road trip and wanted to go to this hotel. Unfortunately, the imprint had the wrong address, with the driving licence, which is 20 km too much. I didn't think that was funny. Then I wanted to book a seat on the terrace during the day, don't do it, well, you know where you are. Germany, service desert and the places in the former DRR eh... for the area too expensive. Besides, I had booked four months earlier and the price was not respected when booking, oh well, I'm not going to be next.

Well, I'm not.

We've been paying attention here via the Internet and booked through booking. Simply class for the three stars - it doesn't take four! Staff friendly and smart. House friendly and curious. Accommodation super comfortable. Landscape unforgettable! Endless cycling and hiking tours possible. Come and get to know - that's all you can say!

We had booked the hotel only because of the beautiful terrace. Reservations were not possible, supposedly. When we arrived, seats were free, but they were reserved. So we couldn't even rate the food! We were very disappointed.

Overwhelmed

The next morning we started at the Hegesian Sea and finally came over the Schwaanhavel and Havelwaterstraße. After the lock we took a break in the beer garden of the hotel restaurant. There is a kiosk (over the average) with food and snacks. We used this and watched the boats passing by in the afternoon sun. However, soon it was time to leave and we went back to Canow.

A glorious place for a rest from paddling

We spent three nights in this beautiful place very charming, by the lake, very well maintained, recently renovated, cleaned with a great staff that makes a difference. everyone is very polite and available, make you feel at home, welcome you with a nice smile. I hope to be back soon, thank you very much you are wonderful

What a nice surprise.

Located outside the country, away from the services if you don't want to use the bike or walk, sheets not exactly intones, checkout only in German, breakfast that gives the idea of being counted (arrive with 5 slices of biscuits at a time). But it is the liquid soap in the shower the masterpiece: rebocked... Inside the Palmolive packaging two different colors, and above all comes out a poor quality soap that doesn't foam.
