This pension is very charming. It is set in a pretty small village but not too far from Dresden.  The owners have done a great job renovating an old barn and house to a very high standard.  Our room was a suite on 2 floors.  The price was very reasonable. The breakfast was great.  I highly recommend this pension. The wifi was a bit spotty but generally worked.

We had a wonderful experience at this charming pension

I have to personally rate this hospitality experience as the individually most pathetic attempt of restaurant pension trying to squeeze 108€ for nothing. The online booking system is rotten - it allows only to book two rooms for 3 people, despite the offer of an extra bed. I therefor called in order to a) announce we were travelling with a dog ("pets admitted upon request 8 € per night" - the site claims) and b) to check how we could accomodate my mother and my brother in one room. I was told to book, as the system requires and add "extra bed" as a comment.
The check in was dour and unwelcoming, the lady of the house - i guess, as she failed to introduce herself -  was not impolite, but definitely did not try to assist.  She demanded we pay the rooms as booked and there would be no admission for the dog. Upon insistence she offered an appartment for two, that would accomodate the dog, but refused to move the extra bed there. Despite the accomodation being a restaurant,  Saturday at 7.50 p.m. food was not available unless by a car ride to Dresden or Meißen - despite a private grill party going on in the yard. We heard some invectives hurled after us, when we left without, as previously demanded - full pay.

Lovely forest, beautiful estate, but Blaue Mühle is definitely  more interested in money than in guests - better avoid and book accomodation preferably in either Meißen or Dresden, for that. I would not advise that anyone even consider this hotel, particularly not as a dog owner.

The saddest thing about it is that the patronness appears to be oblivious to how bad her service really is.
