I had read reviews before travelling and was a bit worried but pleasantly surprised when we arrived .Reception staff were friendly and welcoming.Ou bedroom was large with a small balcony with a table and chairs.There was a wedding party at the hotel but it did not disturb us too much.We ate in the hotel as a group the service arrangements were a little bizarre and chaotic. Breakfast was okay however some of the staff were a little brusque.

Better Than Expected

They refused to give a piece of bread to a person starving!!!  I came there at 21,15 starving.  The restaurant was full.  A lady at the reception told me : “the kitchen is close” . I say ok, can you please make me a sandwich? She said “no”. So l asked, l am really starving can l please buy a piece of bread . She replied “no”, smiling.  Every further comment is no necessary. Refusing bread to a person (and l even said l would have paid), is really one of worst thing one person can do.

Nice hotel, easy to find with plenty of parking, right on the banks of the Mosel river. We had room 36 - a large room with a balcony facing the river. The view of the river is obscured by trees along the bank but hey it was nice and peaceful. We found the staff friendly and helpful. Our arrangement was 3 nights plus one night gratis - bed, breakfast (plentiful continental) and evening meal hot buffet with salad bar. Easy striking distance to tour both the Mosel valley to Cochem and the Rhine valley from Koblenz to Boppard at leisure. The one downside to the hotel was that there was no bar/lounge as such to relax after diner. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay.

Good short break destination

The shower head holder was broken, the water temperature could not be controlled properly unless you turned the water flow to max, turning the shower into something that could be used as a waterjet to remove green algae from stone. The interior is very dated (if you loved the early 80's, then this is the place for you). The beds are very firm. There are no power sockets next to the beds. No free Wifi available. When we told the reception about the shower problem there was no response, very rude! This might have been a three star hotel once, but not in this day and age. Please please avoid!

Avoid if possible

It was very good over there. My wife and I  stayed there for a weekend with many walking's in the forests  The breakfast en dinners where good. It was tasteful.
Good bedroom with bath and television. Friendly personal. It was easy to park your car at the hotel.

"What a wonderful weekend!”

My wife and I stayed some three nights in Moselblick and we were astonished. Really great ambiance in a  wonderful romantic hotel. Nice Christmas ornaments all over the place. Perfect rooms ( more than 35 m2) with direct view on the river Mosel,  good food, fresh made and not to forget the staff. They were nice and helpfull al these days  Perhaps in the spring season for another small vacation?

Perfect stay in a perfect ambiance

I spend the weekend with my wife and kids at this wonderful hotel. 
It rooms are set either with a view into the famous wine country or overlooking the rhine river. The hotel is family run and makes you feel at home: super service and great cuisine. With its nice rooms, beautiful location and a friendly family touch I can only recommend it. The family weekend turned out really romantic given the scenery and setting. Great hideaway on the Rhine!
